I watched all of your videos for your trip and I must say that you both were very calm when you came across issues with the charging stations, I think my patience would have crack and I would have lost the plot so well done to you both and the girls were well behaved considering being cooped up in the car for that length of time so well done all. I just hope its not like this in the UK when it comes to charging stations.

Hello friends We understand your frustration. We drove down from Zurich to Sicily with our Tesla Y. Everything went great with the Tesla Superchargers. However, there is only one Tesla Supercharger in Sicily (there are several Destination-Chargers and from Q3 the second Tesla Super Charger will come in Palermo). But in Sicily we therefore had to charge at local chargers. Charging has always worked well in Sicily. Especially EnelX chargers have always worked without any problems. But yes, they are already more expensive than charging providers in Switzerland. We wish you a safe journey!

Biggest affect to consumption is air resistance not added weight. And that's why when you drive highway air resistance rises and consumption also rises. Add more weight it doesn't affect much if you can maintain same average speed it will only affect more if you need to constantly change driving speed. So your case Thule box on top was main reason for increased consumption.

Awful. It looks like the car was not fully developed before release, and Skoda cannot blame the chip shortage for that. Now I understand why the dealer in York, UK, restricted my test drive to 15 minutes. Thank you for posting this.

I am pretty sure your Skoda can use Tesla destination charger just fine. The electric plug is the same, and the Tesla destination charger don't need any activation or payment process to get the charging going. This is true even for non-Tesla EV, just plug it in and it will work for any EV.

Thank you so much for doing this! I got my EV 4 months ago and went away from home this weekend, only within the UK. Visited 6 charging stations and only 2 (Chargepoint) worked as expected in this day and age, by that I mean with only a bank card, not an app or an RFID card 😡 I'm going to drive to Krakow next month in my EV so I'm interested in what your experience is in Poland, with Greenway, EV+ and Ionity (heard you saying it's expensive but maybe needs must). Have you needed RFID cards for them? I'll be making my video on the trip so UK EV drivers can expect in Europe, thank you for the inspiration XXX

I can expect that you will have some fun getting the stations to work. I have a Greenway card. Didn't subscribe to any plan, however they still charged me. This said, they returned the money after i raised it. All the Greenway ones i used worked. Ionity worked too once i got the card, however without a plan(Powerpass or similar) they are absolutely, ridiculously expensive. And i cant get them to charge faster than 80kW, although they are rated to 350 and my Enyay is 125kW capable. In short, you will need RFID cards for most if not all stations! Good luck and share your videos!

I am currently owning a Volkswagen Golf GTE which has more miles done in "towing it to the service" than on it's own power... really bad experience with VW group. I also had/have a plenty of issues with my car. I bought an Octavia iV last year and it has been a bit of a frustrating experience. Only 6 days after I bought the car I was bombarded with error messages and the car lost power all of a sudden. Max speed was about 20km/h. Luckily the dealer was nearby. Turns about the engine control unit was defective. Had to wait about a month to get a replacement ECU from the factory. Every time I charge the car I get a warning message on the dashboard. Dealer said it’s a software issue and I can continue charging. So far I haven’t had problems with charging. Takes a while for Skoda to fix this as it’s an year later now and I still have the error. The AC stopped working twice. Both times the issue was that the freon was leaking. The dealer thought they fixed it the first time. The second time it leaked they discovered a broken component that needed to be replaced. The infotainment system would freeze often when using Apple CarPlay. Since a software update that seems to be better now. I also get the occasional error messages but they go away quickly. In terms of build quality on the left passenger side I often hear a rattle when going over bumps. Almost like they forgot a screw in the door or the window is not properly attached to the door. Reported this to the dealer, they said they fixed it but I still hear it every now and then. Quite annoying though. The car pulls to the left. Two mechanics rode the car to check this issue. One said that the car does indeed pull to the left, the other one said there is no problem. Nothing has been done about it. I also recognise the issue with the sound system although for me it’s barely noticeable and I rarely hear it. I hope it won’t get worse over time. I was always a fan of #škoda but I don’t think I can trust this brand again after all the issues I’ve experienced. I hope they step it up over time. Good luck with your car. I hope by now they've solved your issues.

As a proud Czech citizen, fan of EVs and someone whose intention is to buy Enyaq this year, I am pretty shocked about these issues. I would be totally mentally destroyed after all these issues - roof you cannot close? Horrible radio sound? Freezing screens? Come on, we're in 2022, things like this should never happen. I am still lingering between Enyaq and Model Y, but it's the lack of common features (such as 360° camera) in Tesla that direct me toward Enyaq. After your video it's a big bummer for me. Don't tell me I end up with some ICE or PHEV after all...

As i mentioned a few times, I am also a big Skoda fan(the whole family is). However the number of error messages and non functioning parts is just ridiculous. The fact that @Škoda reached out to me here and told me to write to them directly and then I haven't heard from them in 3 months is just to show how serious they take quality control and customer service. This said, I have the 360 camera and given the chance i would replace it for the "Guard" function of Tesla any day. If you have front and rear camera than the 360°option is a gimmick at best. Reading up about Tesla, they od have their own set of issues, however what Skoda has puts it in the "fault lead".

@@evfamily-fullycharged2561 You have no idea how much I hate to agree, but you're right. Enyaq looks great and is definitely a great EV, but the number of problems is hard to understand. I used to look at Tesla a bit disrespectfully, because they had strong position in AI and programming, but lacked the actual production quality, simply because of their short-time appearance in the field. So I was really looking forward to see the traditional carmakers hopping on this EV wave and electirfy their usually reliable and well-built models. What car should I buy now?
@evfamily-fullycharged2561

@@potvoramedia To be honest, when we decide to look for another EV it will most likely be either Hyundai Ionic or Tesla. At least those two brands seem to have enough faith in their cars to put the warrantee and build quality where their mouths are in complete opposite to @Škoda. Just as fun side note, it has been now already over 10 months that we have the Enyaq and it has been 10 months that my service partner is telling us(after 12 visits) that @Škoda is working on solving the software issues and we should be patient! I wonder if i can tell them to be patient when taking my money.

Skoda CZ and Skoda in every country need to get the Franchised Dealerships and Employees sorted out if they are going to come out with nonsense about 5 vehicles with poor build quality having to come in before Skoda CZ do anything. The new SKODA CEO needs to get the Factory Management sorted out and the Quality Control. Their reputation is built now on what they produce now and not silly advertising and friendly Motoring Journals & Journalists that See, Hear & Say no Evil. The Three Monkeys VW Group way of dealing with faulty products stinks.

I am getting similar values, it seems big part of it is the aggressive battery heating. Also, the current preheating software is very rudimentary, and if not careful can end up unnecessarily heating the car after short trips. Hopefully, this is addressed by software updates for next winter :) Great content, btw 👍
