" You make a Great team working together when doing the live streams !! Hol van a Vilmos Pálinka? Az nem egy hagyományos Karácsonyi ital? Köszi...
@StuffedCabbageAdventures13 сағат бұрын

Thank you so much for the video.I would just like to comment on Unicum. The original Unicum is an "acquired taste" Well, I have tried it several times, and it is just too bitter. I really liked Unicum Next, but it has been discontinued. What a shame. Unicum taste without the bitterness. Unicum Szilva is very good. It has the original Unicum taste, without being too bitter. Unicum Barista and Bitter Orange is just so so. Unicum Riserva is the holy grail. Take a sip, and the taste is still in your mouth 5 minutes later. Unicum Trezor XO is the latest limited edition version. It has already sold out and is not currently available. It is about 3 times the price of Riserva (which is not cheap). I really want to try this!
@StuffedCabbageAdventures13 сағат бұрын
Unfortunately I also missed out on the Trezor, I cannot find it anywhere 😔 Riserve is still my favorite from all, this one is interesting and nice, but doesn't take over Riserva's place for me 😊

Since your review is in English, i assume that it is made for tourists, and for tourists, paying 15-20 dollars or euros for food is not expensive. Here in the States, you pay around $13 for a glass of domestic beer and $12-15 for a shot, on a regular sports event, or in a bar. For local hungarians, it is expensive though..Just my 2 cents...
@StuffedCabbageAdventures13 сағат бұрын
Indeed if I sometimes compare to other cities especially in western Europe, the prices may not be too different here now, however unfortunately many people still believe that Hungary is a super cheap eastern european vacation destination where you can enjoy your holiday on a dime, but that was true about 10-15 years ago, and it's no longer the case, so while from a locals perspective it is expensive, we still highlight it for the foreign visitors as well to set their expectations and not to think that it will be a super cheap vacation.

First of course I love your videos! Could you please do a video or explain about the train from Budapest to Vienna because the website is very confusing! And actually there are multiple websites so what is the one to use to get the ticket? And any tricks or things we need to know? Thank you very much!
@StuffedCabbageAdventures13 сағат бұрын
Hey there! I dont believe we can make a complete video about it, but it's simple: You can buy a train ticket on either the Hungarian Railways site (MÁV) or the Austrian (OBB) site. Usually the trains are operated in cooperation, from the border or first few stations here and there the staff will change on the Trains. Prices are different unfortunately on the two sites most of the time, it's not unified. I always use jegy.mav.hu for train tickets starting in Hungary or ending in Hungary (but for this you can also check OBBs site). I would not buy on any other site that is not related to the train companies themselves. Usually there can be multiple prices for the same train. This is because some may include the Seat reservation for the full distance, partial or none at all. Also there may be so called "Smart" tickets which are cheap but cannot be rebooked or cancelled. For comfort, I always buy tickets with seat reservation on these long distance trains. I hope this helps.

@ Oh my goodness this helps a lot thank you so much for that information! I was wondering if I buy it on the Australian one or the Hungarian one so I guess it doesn’t matter. Thank you very very much I really really appreciate your help!

Thank you (Köszönöm). I am planning to visit Budapest, could you please tell how the weather looks like - in general- towards March and April? Köszönöm.
@StuffedCabbageAdventures13 сағат бұрын
It's always difficult to predict the weather :) March and April are when we transition from Winter to the Spring, in March it may be a bit colder on average 12 C and in April that goes to average 18 C. Rainy days and sunny days can come and go. I would advise to check the weather forecasts via google a week before your travels and pack accordingly 😊

I am going to Budapest next week. Are there any smaler, less expensive Christmas Markes? Keep going with the great work.
@StuffedCabbageAdventuresКүн бұрын
Hey there! Óbuda Christmas Market is smaller and less expensive. There are some smaller Christmas markets scattered around the city, like behind Corvin Plaza or next to Allee Shopping mall but they are more laid back, nothing special mainly aiming at locals who just want a mulled wine or sth. There's also a small one in Újpest which is very laid back and calm. Our video from Last year covers Óbuda and Újpest Christmas markets as well 😊

Hi, I just discovered your channel, and thank you for the detailed video. Are there many vegetarian food options in Budapest?
@StuffedCabbageAdventuresКүн бұрын
HI there! While Hungarian cuisine itself is limited when it comes to Vegetarian dishes, almost all restaurants will have a few Vegetarian options on their menus. I've been to a place called Vegan Garden where they took some of the traditional Hungarian dishes and converted them ino a Vegan offering and they were nice (I tried their Bean soup and the Mushroom Paprikash, they were both really nice). However some of our viewers recommended the Happy Cow Application where you can find Vegetarian and Vegan options. It may help you with finding some good Vegetarian restaurants 😊 I can also recommend some of the Indian restaurants in the city. While they are not "local food" places, we have a nice selection of Indian restaurants with some excellent Vegetarian options on their menus 😊 (one of my fav places from these is Pesti Chutney for example)

Yes, I agree. The Ghirardelli solid dark chocolate is the best! No filling. The 72% and higher - up to 80% is best. Less sugar than milk chocolate. One or two squares with a cup of tea or coffee. 😉

Negro is also available in Serbia. We used to have this at my grandparents' there, that's why I was kinda suprised to see them in Hungary last year during my erasmus exchange, because I thought it is a serbian candy. We used to call them "Kaminfeger" :D Greetings from Germany

How is it that I have a strange liking to every Hungarian men I've come across to. I have no real life Hungarian friends and I live halfway around the world (Philippines). I must be Hungarian in my past life or I have Hungarian genes I don't know about. Hungary is now one of "must-trave" list. Originally for Europe, it was only UK, France, Italy, Greece, Germany and Russia once the war ends but Hungary is now up there.

Of all the videos of Budapest I have seen, and there are many, not one mentions that bus and tram travel id free for people aged 60 and over.
@StuffedCabbageAdventuresКүн бұрын
That rule has been changed a few times over the years, originally it was for Hungarian Pentioners only, then it was changed to include people from EU and some other Countries and earlier this Year it was amended again to include everyone over the age of 65. We do call this out in our latest video where we explain the different areas of Budapest 😊

@@StuffedCabbageAdventures Any must see sights if you had just 2 days in Budapest and which attraction would you skip? Is a tour of the parliament building worth it? or is seeing it from the outside impressive enough? Thanks
@StuffedCabbageAdventuresКүн бұрын
Hey there! The Inside of the Parliament is nice if you are really into Architecture and History, but it's something you can skip, I would however either go into Matthias Church or the St Stephens Basilica, those are nice and unique and you can get in any time without a scheduled tour to wait for. If it's only 2 days then I would focus my time on the Castle District and the downtown area of Budapest (With Parliament and Basilica and in the night to check out the Bar area with the Ruin Bars).

@StuffedCabbageAdventures2 күн бұрын
Sad to hear that, although unfortunately that price kind of checks out, perhaps it was a "special" langos with "special cheese"... I heard horror stories of even more expensive Lángos being sold, so it's likely not an intentional ripoff, but still way toooo overpriced compared to what it normally costs 😟 Nevertheless, I hope you are enjoying the rest of your stay in Budapest! 😊
