I just did this yesterday. Put some in a bowl at the bottom. A bit in the dispenser and run on quick wash. Run it again with just water and a bit of rinse ain in the dispenser. Looks new again. Suds may appear but its not enough to overflow.

Great Video, thanks. Just FYI, it's not that GE uses cheap plastic (if there is such a thing as good plastic!) but it's the fact that the handle sits directly above the eyes of the stove. The handle gets heated every time we use the stove top. This hot/cold/hot process makes the plastic brittle. They SHOULD sell the microwave with replacement handles and design the door so that its easier to replace. Just my thoughts. Thanks again!

Thank you! I had a hunch I would need to knock the handle with a rubber mallet and this gave me the confidence and info to get in there and do it. In my case, I’m trying to remove the handle so I can tighten the screws for the mounts bc the handle is loose.

Depending on the amount of thermal mass in the freezer, it can take several days for it to warm up enough for spoilage. Sounds like maybe you threw out that food when you didn’t need to.

Another question Do you only have to round off the edges or all four sides all the way around? I have some of the wood. I think I should start rounding before the brackets come in. How high do you need to go up on the rounding part
@UnconventionalThinker
@UnconventionalThinker 24 күн бұрын
It depends if you have to round or not. If your wood isn't wet then you may not have to round. The wood I bought was very fresh from being treated that's why I had to plane. I would wait for the brackets to come in to see if you need to plane or not.

Did you look at any other brands beside toja...i have seen other not sure about the quality Most have 12-14 gauge What makes toja better?? In your opinion
@UnconventionalThinker
@UnconventionalThinker Ай бұрын
I did see some knock offs that were much cheaper but didn't want to go too thin on the gauge and didn't want a cheap paint job. Comparing this to other pergolas it's so much cheaper. In my opinion Toja Grid is incredibly stout, but I would not get their 4x4, not because the brackets are flemsy but because the 4x4 wood warps too easy. The 6x6s have held up really well. The powder coat on the brackets has held up really well, with no signs of rust. It's just a stout product that I would definitely buy again if we bought a different house or needed another place for shade.

Have you produced a video showing how to disassemble the door once it's been removed? My door - which is nearly identical to yours - is working fine. The handle is ok. But when I close the door, clearly something is rattling around inside it. By the sound I hear, I am guessing it's a screw or nut that has come loose. But I don't see exactly how to remove the inner cover to get to the inside of it.

Seems easy enough, but one question: I tried a dry run while waiting for the new door, and it looks like I have to remove the plastic grille above the door. My model is a 3160, your is a 3163 and seems the same. Did you have enough clearance with the grille on?

So I replaced the handle on my microwave successfully but now my microwave won't work. I had removed the glass piece and there was a small thin metal pice about 1 1/2 inches long with a bend at one end and an oval hole and a circular hole drilled into the metal piece that fell out when I picked the door up into a vertical position. I cannot find where it went, can't find a part like it on any part website.... the door closes and latches but have no idea....any thoughts?

What could be a problem if a freezer runs but not cooling nor freezing?

The black particles from the tank are likely burnt coffee. This occurs when users fill the tank with water from an unclean coffee carafe. Doing so transfers oils and coffee remnants from previous brews into the tank. Over time, these particles embed into the scale build up.

We fill our tank from a Berkey Water Filter. I'm convinced it could be build up within the plastic portion that holds the filter and grounds or the stainless water dripper. But I did clean my filter and grounds holder last time and did notice the same results.

Thanks for the great reviews. Some other reviews out there said the wood was too "orangey" of a color. It doesn't look that way from your video. Does it only come in one wood color? I love the look of yours. I just don't want to be surprised by getting something that it too "orangey".
@UnconventionalThinker

I think at the time there were two or three wood options. But looking now it seems they have two. I personally don't feel it's too orange, the floors in our old house were hickory with no stain and I thought it matched pretty well. Now in our current house the floors are darker and it still matches well

@@hugocervantes26 yes, for me the shade is what restricted the dimensions. If you just get brackets however long you can find the lumber is what would set your dimensions.
