Whoa! How does a coffee machine get that dirty with regular cleaning? I'll need to try it on mine. So it's a 2 step process, durgol and then biocaf?

Yes, that is what I have found works best for cleaning is using those two products and using in the order as shown in the video.

The black particles from the tank are likely burnt coffee. This occurs when users fill the tank with water from an unclean coffee carafe. Doing so transfers oils and coffee remnants from previous brews into the tank. Over time, these particles embed into the scale build up.

We fill our tank from a Berkey Water Filter. I'm convinced it could be build up within the plastic portion that holds the filter and grounds or the stainless water dripper. But I did clean my filter and grounds holder last time and did notice the same results.

Me too. I clean all the components (basket, carafe, metal rod, and caps) every Friday. Ensures that my weekend coffee is nice and fresh 😎

That stuff seems to do things other descalers can't, like de scale the point where the spray bar meets the clear rubber grommet above the glass sight tube, it also cleaned the stainless grill above the float switch, I use a leaky stainless carafe for De scaling then when I'm done I put the non leaky decent carafe back into service. Great video!

@@UnconventionalThinker my first time using it, usually use dezcal, how do you like the coffee the machine makes? Seems to be super smooth to me.

Yeah my wife and I have really enjoyed it for the past 5 years. We used to do pour overs, but just so time consuming in the morning with the kids. This tasted the same to me and way less work. Plus it made the home roasts not taste so bad in say like a Mr coffee maker.

We use purified but, I think tap would be fine. The best you could use is distilled.
