This only works on iMac 27-inch models from 2009-2011. The stand from the smaller 21.5 iMacs and later models of the 27-inch cannot be removed without disassembling and removing component parts from the inside.

Thank you! Very good video. Successfully changed my Lenovo battery for Yoga 14 -ISK thanks to your video. Just a note for other users... the battery connector was really difficult to disconnect from the slot, and was really tough to fully reconnect/ insert back in the slot...so much so that I was convinced I was going to damage the motherboard, even though you rightly and helpfully warn about taking care with this step. It's ridiculous the manufacturer doesn't make this easier. But again...great video/ help!!!!!

The factory U/P not appear to be on the back of my router - at least I don’t see the words Username or Password - what should i be looking for?

@@lmac9364 The default username and password for an ASUS router are both "admin/admin". Both the username and password are case sensitive.

@ that’s ok, once I got into the Admin settings it was very simple, I was actually quite surprised to find how easy it was to set the router up for extender and mesh options. Thanks again for getting me past the U/P.

@ no it’s not, the ports are different from the iMacs before 2012 (iMacs before 2012 were thick)

You put the base on the wrong way. Not that it’ll make a huge difference but if you open it up again you want the hole side of the pad to be over the lever not the pins.

You failed to show removal of the HDD and the optical drive. Also, two of the black outer screws are 1mm shorter. 8mm x 2 & 9mm x 8. VERY important.

Hi, I had a similar issue initially . For me, this was caused by not pushing in the battery connector far enough into the connection slot. I was so paranoid about damaging the slot. I had to reopen the case and really make sure the connector was pushed right into the connection slot... i pushed the connector further into the slot and then the battery was detected 2nd time round and now works perfectly. This for me was the trickiest part as I was paranoid about damaging the connector slot so care required as the author of the video points out. Good luck!
