You should sell kit plug and play to fit a second battery

The issue is not hitting the higher voltages above 13.4 which is required to balance the cells and therefore allows them to degrade equally. The real issue was staying at that high voltage for multiple weeks. If you’re cycling your batteries every day it’s something you never have to worry about. The sheer degradation over time which happens for batteries, even not in use and even stored at 50%, is gonna factor in Way before the degradation of daily use factors of going too 100% charge. The real way to kill one of these batteries is to leave it under voltage for an extended period time, meaning weeks. That is almost impossible nowadays with these new BMS nearly all have built into them now. LFP batteries are something you should just not worry about cycling if they are used every day for solar.😊

You don't want to leave that balancer hooked up while discharging. Discharge, then charge to 13.4v the hook the balancer back up. Then continue charging. There is a real good reason for this. You can screw up your balance even worse by leaving it on. While you have the top off the battery do yourself a huge favor and put a new JK-BMS in with Bluetooth and 2 amp active balancing. You can watch your cells charge and shows each cell SOC. You set your own parameters starting by telling it when in the charging you want the balancer to start. Common start is 3.40 to 3.45v. This is when the charge starts up the curve. There is a reason for that also. Im not explaining everything because it takes time. But these are the basics and where to start on making your problem go away and having better batteries than what you started with. You're going to love the JK-BMS. Its an absolute must. Otherwise you're going to be scratching your head everytime you have a problem like you are now. You will be able to see whats going on under the hood right on your phone.

You are the first guy that I have watched who really understands propane. If you don't mind I can add alittle more. 73 yrs Pipefitter /Welder Refergration and Steam fitting. Rules /facts Propane Butane ARE Refergerant. HEAT flows to COLD If a idiot through a propane bottle in a campfire this is what happens the bottle heats up liquid flashes to a gas psi goes up and the pressure relief opens and it blows a flame, they don't explode, why..? Because there ASME rated fuel gas pressure vessel, UL, FM. Tested. If you want to blow up one use a shotgun. I use a loop of fishing line to pull up the pop off valve. The 20lb tanks have check valves to stop drawing liquid when upside down. I use 1/4" SAE 45° same that Refergration Guages Schrader valve hoses to fill. "service ports" copper solder fittings. I set my coleman green bottle up like this. Opposite the pop off, sand the paint off tin that spot. Ballpeen hammer on the Tinned spot hit the hammer and the ball dinks a dent DON'T DRILL THE HOLE USE A ICE PICK. I use 1/8" service ports and solder it in. That is the fill I turn the torch on, no flame to vent. I have 4 or 5 coleman bottles that are over 25 years old and I have refilled WHO KNOWS..! 500 TIMES..? maybe more. Torches for plumbing. Propane is oily. I have been welding, brazing, soldering 50+ years I know what I am doing. So don't take this as run out and copy Kat. I cut the top off and the bottom off and put them to gather , again refilled. You can fill bike and car tires up. Paint the bottle black put it in the sun. Buy any pipe /tube fittings at the welding shop. Google.. Propane Temp/pressure. Check the temp = psi. I liked your video.

2 LEGS (L1 & L2) @ 120V each. So to use this system you need to know which leg your tapped into. If you are plugging that into a outlet on L1 you then need to clamp L1 at the meter. That's how it works. The system will not let you put more energy into the home than you are currently using per leg.

Here is what I understand (this gleaned from another UTVid). Smart meters (and old fashioned meters too) only monitor the two power legs but not the neutral. Also, it seems they only monitor the total power used regardless of which hot leg that power is pulled through. I suspect there is only one current sensor (CT) monitoring both power legs together. This means, as long as the total power you are plumping onto the house side is less than the total power drawn from the external grid, then all is well. This also means that the home owner /producer can utilize the external power pole transformer to move power from one leg to another, or from 240 to 120, or any combination so long as the TOTAL out doesn't exceed the total in. The trick in setting this up is to install two CTs, one on each hot leg and wire them in series (so they add - get the polarity right) and then add a variable resistor in that series' circuit to tune it down. Example: given a Sungold inverter with the output hooked up to the two hot legs (240V) If the supplied CT is put one one leg (In the US it generally won't fit) it will tell the Inverter to put out power assuming the load is a full 240 volt load. If it's a blow dryer (120) the Inverter will over produce (by a factor of 2) and may cause back feed depending on what else is running in the house.). If one were to put a resister in the CT circuit, the "gain" of the system can be cut in half to make the inverter to put out power to match the 120V load. Now, if a second CT is put on the other hot leg and resister added to its circuit, limiting the same amount - and wired so the signals add (series connection - with matching phase/directions). With this set up the inverter should never output more power than is used by the house -i.e. it won't back feed through the meter. In actuality, only one resistor is needed when the two CT are in series. I've bought this equipment and it will be a while before I can get it all set up but I'll try to put up a vid when I get it all working. The SunGold GTI will not be hooked directly the the PV panels but will draw from the batteries. The PV array will be running at 360V as it will be going on a tall barn 250 ft from the MPP controller and batteries - that keeps the wires much smaller and losses much lower. The PV input will go through an All in one ("Hybid") to charge the batts and will run the SunGold during the day and then the batteries will keep the SunGold GTI going into the evening for as long as they last. In this way I only "make" money by reducing the power I have to buy which in time serves to pay off some portion of the cost of my emergency ready solar power system. Hope this is helpful.

Perfect timing for me since I'm about to by something of that specific style. I find the bes face protectionis a quality face shield because goggles fog and like safety glasses only protect the eyes. I use common Jackson-style clear and Shade 3 shields (for torch welding and brazing and cutting). The better ya can see your work the easier the task. It's obviously powerful enough to turn 6" thin kerf cutting discs (I replace or mod all my 4.5" guards to 6" because I don't enjoy ER visits). Liked and Subscribed!

Which voltage setting in the Charge Controllers settings determines the maximum charge? I have two different chargers. Is it, "equalize charge", "Boost Charge", "Float charge" or "Overvoltage", "Limit charge voltage", which are settings from two different chargers.

I intalled solar 10yrs ago but only ran for 2 1/2 years . Back then it would payd itself in 4yrs . This week i bought a growatt 1500w grid tie and two 570wp panels . I payd 1850 BRL for the inverter and panels and it will produce 4 BRL a day average so it will take 15 and 1/2 months to pay itself
