Split phase setup, gets even more fun with 3phase (make sure neutral is really good because if it fails you'll have some very interesting popcorn smell in the building, can happen with split phase as well when you end up with 240v on one leg)

Thanks for the video with further explanation of how the system operates for you, I did pick up some more useful information. I have ordered a single unit of the cheaper, old style you used to use to play and learn with. For more than two units I am interested in how you physically have them attached to your breaker panel. In your previous videos you show that you have a Solar 1 and Solar 2 breaker, one on each 120v leg ( L1&L2) - where would the third unit be added to the panel? Would you install another breaker (Solar 3) on the line with highest use? Where would you attach a fourth unit when you get ready to upgrade? Thank you for taking the time to put this information out for everyone, it really is interesting and much more useful for those trying to set up a small inexpensive system.

@@jimbaggett1233 but to answer your question. You can put up to 3 inverters per a 20 amp breaker , so I have 2 breakers. One with only one inverter the other with two inverters on it ... Both breakers are 15 amps and because each inverter does about 7 amps in under their rated power .. if you have 10 inverters you need to do the math but basically at that point you gonna need 4 maybe 5 maybe 6 breakers ore one big one with thick wires

Fascinating and educational. Thank you so much for the interesting content. Question: can I use this setup in California (Pacific Gas & Electric is my provider) without getting threatened by the utility?

@@frankjerolimov1211 I don't see what not.. I'm sure they won't say yes if you ask them but if you don't , what you do behind the meter is on you
