Thanks for the video comparison and overall sharing your experience on your KZbin channel. I have owned a 2002 LS for as many years and the steering in that car stock is fantastic. I believe they got all the kinks out in the NA version and then the NB1 to make the NB2 and 2.5 some of the best versions of a Miata, which includes the Mazdaspeed. Obviously things change with the NC version which are in a league of their own. I had the pleasure of driving in ND1, ND2 and now ND3 and have to say the steering is noticeably different especially from the earlier models. It’s so refined and precise even from the ND 1 and 2 versus the 2002. I think all the current updates they made to the 2024 ND3 is Mazdas way of honing in on a final formula going forward. That’s obvious with the 2025 cause basically nothing’s changed other than adding another color.

We were lucky enough to find a used 2023 Model X Plaid also in Ultra Red with a white interior. Only differences are that our car had the yoke, 1,193 miles and the prior owner bought and paid for FSD the stayed with the car. We're glad we have the yoke (aftermarket with suede) because it opens up the entire instrument cluster on the dash that you can't see with the wheel. Not true. And you have to opt-in to have Tesla monitor your driving (launches, speed, etc), which I suppose could affect renewal rates if you did opt in to have it monitored. I have had two Plaids, an S and now an X. The bummer part is, at least in California, when you try and insure the car anywhere other than Tesla, the rate will be double. My wife and I are in our mid 50s, with zero points, and we pay $1,394 every 6 months. I have had 4 other insurers quote the car and they have all been 2X Tesla Insurance. Lastly, if you finance it, buy Gap insurance when you purchase it. The depreciation has been gut wrenching. Better yet, buy used. A ton of great deals out there.

Yea - no Not sure what good is taking your family 6 seat SUV for a 2.5 sec launch will get you. The AWD launches at 3.8 secs and is $20k less. It is still your family's SUV with gull wings. My SEV RST could do 4.5 sec in the same launch at 9k lb, but that does not make sense either. The EV HP and torque availability does make sense when towing my boat and hauling my household stuff. I am glad there are EV choices in the market place in 2025 as ICE will die out. Tesla in past years was the only game in town but, in 2025 it is to the consumer's advantage to choose EV's that best suit their needs, especially in the SUV and pick up truck market. I am glad you found an SUV that fits your wants and desires, but a hard pass for me as the Teslaverse and the product line is losing its shine in the 2025 market.

@@kelviskelvis7140 my wife drives a 23 Ultra Red X AWD, and in fact I recommend most people get that if you don’t need the 6 seats or bragging rights cause its still incredibly fast. And last year you got the EV tax credit although Trump killed that this week. I’m with you on Tesla has lost its “shine” but I don’t care, this SUV just makes an amazing daily driver. Checks every box for me and then some. And yeah, its wonderful to have this kind of performance on the daily.

Tesla is still dominating the EV market. It's not even close. I was considering buying a Rivian R1S, but the latest versions of FSD are just too good now.
