Not sure if this is the lost manuscript of Chaucers “the superintendants tale” or regular steamed hams read by a Dutch voice actor with a cold…

I didn't know what I was expecting, but Middle English sounding more German was a surprise. Very interesting!

No, it's not Old English. It's Middle English, which was formed after Old English. Middle English is divided into two forms: Early Middle English from 1150 to 1350, Late Middle English from 1350 to 1500. As far as I can tell from the text in the subtitles, this is Late Middle English.

1:26 this isn’t true btw. I actually just learned that it’s a myth today; the channel LetThemTalkTV put out a video explaining it earlier this week. The misconception may from Ivanhoe, invented by the author. In truth people often used words like cow and beef or sheep and mutton interchangeably as synonyms as late as the 19th century.

Now we know what accent Bulk Bogan actually spoke when he pronounced "muscles"! Although he was born 40 BC and is over 2000 years old, it would be likely he spoke in combination of old and ancient accent which explains his bizarre accent.
