I have frankincense resin on my Swiss army knife and neither isopropyl nor ethyl alcohol will dissolve it. Got any suggestions?

They have a set of full size and mini coming out this year {2025} with a black coated blade, copper bolster and black denim micarta! That's gonna be the one I get. I wish it had like a dark blue micarta.

I daily carry a Super Tool 300. It is the most reliable Leatherman that can also stand up to any task that a multitool should be capable of.

So to explain it better conventional air purifiers have a HEPA Filter. Furnace filters that come in 20x20x1 come in different MERV ratings. The higher the number the better cleaning but LESS air flow. For example: a MERV 16 comes in 20x20x5 which would be the BEST but would drastically lower to Suction ( CFM- Cubic Feet Per Minute ). You could technically get 2 lasko box fans and sandwich a MERV 16 20x20x5 to help with the air flow IF you need THAT much filtration BUT would be much cheaper to run & operate compared to a air purifier ( people tend to buy air purifiers not knowing what the cost on replacement filters are )

Nice knife dude! I was wondering what it looks like because the image in the custom, shop doesn't do it justice. I was thinking the same exact knife except with carbon fiber. I, don't normally like carbon fiber but I do on that. Maybe carbon fiber and a satin blade with everything else blacked out. I got a custom Bugout and though I not into the Bugout that much, I really like it. They did a great job.

If you are going to review a bag take it out and open it and sleep in it at about 30 degrees, don't leave it in the bag , you call that a review. Someone should slap you for that.

I’ve never encountered any task where the blade on my Leatherman couldn’t handle it. In fact, between the serrated blade and the saw, my Leatherman has been able to accomplish more cutting tasks for me than a dedicated knife would have been able to handle.

Do you recommend setting it up where the fan is blowing dusty air OUT of the room (through the window)? Or blowing fresh air (with the filter) into the room?

What if we put flat head screwdriver and scissors from Leatherman AL into the ALX? Do they drop in instead of bit exchanger with ease? With extra washers of course.

You already have a Victorinox. You should get a full tang knife with a 3-4 inch blade, and use the Vic as backup. Thanks for sharing!👍❤️

I carry the ST300 on the hip at work, I love that it doesn't have scissors, I carry a style CS on the keys for the rare occasion that I need scissors. Outside of work I carry a charge tti with a complete set of bits and an extension, I absolutely love that tool, however the wave is just as good practically speaking and financially speaking. The biggest advantage as to why I prefer the charge over the wave is because of the grip. Texturing is nice when you are actually using the tool. 3M adhesive texturing will also work to get the added grip on the wave.

i took a dremel to mines but all outside and plier head i left the pivot points alone just been using some silicone oil and working them over and over they have definitely broken in a little more from oiling the pivot points and opening them and closing them .

I love and trust Leatherman multi tools. About twenty years ago, I accidentally dropped my first generation Wave eight floors down onto the concrete floor while doing rope access work. The only damage it suffered was the primary blade over extends when I deploy it. But I refused to replace it with Wave 2.0 and Wave plus. My trusty Wave went through several climbing wall projects and many rope access works. A few years ago, I finally replaced it with a Victorinox Swiss Tool Spirit XC. Then I bought a Leatherman Free P4 and eventually I got myself a Rebar because I liked the compactness of my original Wave. And I love it! Guess what? I'm loving my Leatherman Rebar even more after watching your video. Thank you and cheers...

Technical know-nothing asking: would WD-40 work just as well or is there something about Blue Lube that makes it necessary here?

If you stretch shock cord then weave a cobra on it will it give it that fitted sheat style stretch? That is how they get sewn in is fully stretched onto oversized fabric that crumples when the tension is released. I want to find the ideal flat braid for this effect, but suck at weaving without tutorial style videos

It hasn't. Why are there no slowed down detailed instructions on how to open and close the plyers? Mine are stock open, and I cannot fold the tool back up.
@Kaevinlaw4 ай бұрын
Sometimes when breaking in the tools, it gets smoother and smoother. And then all in a sudden it gets really gritty or even stuck. I suspect there may be metal dust from breaking in build up, or some burr broken loose and trapped somewhere in between. I would try to clean all the lubricant out and reapply to hope to get them out.

I jjst bought a super tool 300 a couple weeks ago. Looks the exactly like yours! Doesnt look like Leatherman changed anything. Its a good tool. I like the fact that its a robust multitool. I think the pliers are great. There is a small wrench you can buy to tighten your mounts! That way you dont mar up your tool. I was using my file for a purpose your not supposed to use a file for. And it snapped off. Kinda wish the file was a little thicker. My dad has had his supertool for years! His is loose also. He has had his for over 20 years and still uses it everyday at work! Leatherman makes good tools!

Nice idea! Love the scavenging of the magnets from an old purse, too. I've saved a lot of cord stops/clamps, and misc. clips from old bags and lanyards and such. But in terms of the tray, I'm thinking a layer of duct tape in the bottom might add something, too: make it easier to see the screws, perhaps, but also, quiet things even more, or you could put ridges into it and make separate sections. Just an idea. Last thing: they sell little slide-top tins that fit sideways into the altoid tin.

I've carried a Wave for may years on the job that has saved me thousands of steps not having to walk hundreds of feet to a tool box to get the "right" tool for a quick repair. Now that I've retired and off duty most of the time I now carry a Leatherman Skeletool CX that clips inconspicuously in my pocket and takes care of most things that I need it for.
