Personally I’m not a big fan of hybrids or high lofted woods at all because they tend to balloon & aren’t easy to flight low. Also they just aren’t as accurate and my trusty 1-iron. That being said especially slower swingers tend to seriously benefit from the extra hight & spin.

Technically arms on back swing body then follows on exit.....so Jim's 100% it's not an arms and hand swing.

I always thought you were a cool motherfucker Jim; I often rock the black tee and green Volcom pants myself. I occasionally like to play golfer collared shirt and all that stuff; usually when I’m away or at a fancier place. If I’m at my muni? Shorts and tee shirt is just fine.

Those people who criticize what other people wear on the course are the reason many of us still look at golf as a "snobby, uppity" sport. I will rock a pair of cargo shorts, a tee shirt and some Adidas lows as my go to golf attire. Screw the haters and play for yourself, not others. 👊

Still we do see an awful lot of wankers down here in Florida on the golf courses, sometimes in the afternoons. A lot of people in just awful looking attire, and then mistreating the golf course as well. To me, decorum in the way you look it's a sign of respect and a reflection of how you treat the course and the game. I wear Chuck's because I don't have that much sensation in the bottoms of my feet, and I can feel the course better. Also they come in tons of colors and we're stylers.😂

I've always set up with a closed stance on my Driver. The goal was to hit a draw and most of the time it worked. I'm a 8-10 HDCP and in my early 70s but I can still hit it 240 off the tee a lot of the time. Been watching Jim's videos and thought I would try this in a round here in northern Indiana in early December?!? It hit 45 degrees so we went to the course. The wind was tough and for most of the holes cutting across the flight path. It took the front 9 to learn to aim a little right of the target (and factor in the wind). I also had to learn to make sure your hips made the 'pivot' with your shoulders. Had an average front 9 and we were a little liberal on the putts as the greens have not been maintained for at least 5-6 weeks since it's December. On the Back it all clicked and shot even par with a birdie on the last hole. The set up is just as Jim claims. You are ready to have your body set to use the lead arm and keep your trail arm from coming over the top. The set up takes swaying out of the game if you keep your front knee still and a little more weight on the front. You are going to hit nice draws. It would be an interesting lesson from Jim on hitting a fade - sometimes you have to. This round has me very interested in looking at the video lessons once our weather warms up.

👏 👏 Well said Sir. 😊 I love golf. I love golf courses. But golf clubs and their pompous self serving rules? Not so much...😕 😂 Your golf method simply cuts through ALL the nonsense. It's made the game a joy for me and I share and applaud your disdain for dress codes. No dress code cures slow play or rakes bunkers or repairs divots and pitchmarks or endows club members with a considerate attitude. If it doesn't help the playing of the game it has no place being near the game.

Brought my son to a golf camp at a private club years ago. He was about 12. He looked good but he didn't wear a collared shirt. When we got out of the car the guy running the show said, "He can't join us; he's not appropriately dressed." I told my son to hop back into the car, and I said, "It's a summer program for kids who have no golf idea and you're worried about his shirt--we'll be right back!" I brought him home, found a collared shirt, brought him back to join the group that hadn't started yet. I didn't get mad, just conformed to a crazy idea that had nothing to do with playing golf. My son is a middle-aged man and still tells the story. Today, pros and KZbin Golfers are wearing all sorts of comfortable and cool (take that both ways) stuff. I'm sure wearing a bathing suit might cause waves, but the 50s/60s idea of golf clothes snobbery is still way out of line. Jim, you look good in your chosen and recognizable golf attire. Enjoy your practice tee. Cheers!
