Jimmy is a former D1 golfer, this man can play and is a great teacher. Look if you're struggling with your swing why not at least give this idea a chance. I'm getting better with my 7 to Gap using this method. As for the other clubs I don't get the desired results but the set up is there on all my clubs and I don't worry about distance I like seeing my ball in play consistently. Thanks Jim
@Mudassar_Khan2 ай бұрын
@bonscottrocks1728 - Keep at it! - I have several swing styles and I play almost daily. I use Jim's style for all my clubs now as its just so relaxing and consistent to execute. Just on rare occasions I may switch it up when I want to perform a flop or fades. But I can say the Driver is my fav club to use with Jim's style. The key is smoothness and understanding that a bigger club takes longer to execute. Its not exactly tempo, your not slowing your tempo, your just ensuring that you don't break your stillness. When you figure it out, you won't go back

Just shot my best round ever using this swing. I'm usually in the mid to high 90s. Shot an 87 today. Everything felt effortless. No big improvement in distance, but no loss either. The biggest factor was consistency. Drives and long clubs went straight - and far enough. Short irons and wedges were crazy accurate. Got me close to the hole for easier putting. I recommend checking out Jim's school. I did it on and off for a couple of months to fine tune what I learned in the KZbin videos. I wish I knew of more women who were using the Venetos swing, but for this woman, it works!

I just went to the range and tried this. As a background, I am 68 years young, a 12 hcp and use a single axis swing. I was hesitant to put that much weight on my left leg, but I flared my left foot out which decreased any stress on my left knee joints. Overall, I am very pleased with the results. I didn’t lose any distance, and it decreased the fat/thin mishits. My 60 degree wedges out to 70 yards also improved. Also I didn’t have to make any changes to my single axis. The only adjustments I need to learn are my ball position, but practice should fix that. Thanks!

Jim I really try and find these videos of you playing and teaching and try and comment re watch and thumbs up when you do these. I really appreciate it. I know these are giant P.I.A to produce. You do such a great job showcasing your proven methods. I finally caught a snippet on your set up how it looks like your right forearm is above your left then you set the club early and then stillness through the swing it produces your great shots. Maybe better said I finally realized it..That has been something I have struggled with I was left above right and struggled with draws. I recently found right above left for chipping around the greens and it has been working. I see you doing it on full shots and wow never thought about an early set, I thought it was flipping but it can't be cause your hammering the ball online. Keep it coming!

@jimvenetosgolf2 ай бұрын
@@christianansorge2786to be clear, I don’t need to be closed in the set up to produce a swing where my weight stays on my lead foot and my shoulders are closed through impact. In 30 years of teaching thousands of golfers, I have not had one student who could do the same which is why I strongly encourage all golfers to get 45 deg closed from head to toe in the set up. @@JFizzy99 true. I don’t need to be deep closed in the set up to keep my weight on my lead side and my shoulders closed long through impact. The deep set up I teach is for all golfers up to a scratch handicap. I try to be disciplined and show you what will help you as opposed to show you what I can do. At the highest level in this technique just the hips need to be closed in the set up but that is not to be attempted unless you’re a plus handicap. 👊
