Couldn't you cheese Vegas Survival on the nearest bridge? It sure worked on the emulator.

5:19 this issue can be resolved by setting the ps1 clock speeds and cdrom speeds to normal

It's possible to go far for like 3 minutes in Survival mode without actually standing still. I proved it in Chicago, Havana and Las Vegas on my Channel. I'm currently getting Rio.

My suggestions for the missions with missing achievements (in Vegas and Rio): 1. Las Vegas, Casino Getaway Complete the mission while taking at least two ramps. 2. Las Vegas, Car Bomb Complete the mission while hitting at least 5 different car types. 3. Las Vegas, Bank Job Complete the mission while having maximum felony. 4. Las Vegas, Steal the Keys Complete the mission using a pickup truck. 5. Las Vegas, C4 Deal Complete the mission while losing cops at least three times. 6. Rio, Steal the Cop Car Complete the mission without taking more than 50% damage. 7. Rio, Save Jones Complete the mission. Find a limo and use it to wreck the green sedan. 8. Rio, Boat Jump Drive to the docks without leaving the road and touching any other cars. 9. Rio, Jones in Trouble Complete the mission using a firetruck. 10. Rio, Chase the Gun Man Complete the mission with no more than 10 seconds left on clock. 11. Rio, Lenny Gets Caught Complete the mission without touching grass, sand or sidewalk.

Havana, Hijack the Truck Complete the mission. Stop the truck before getting rid of the pursuer. 5. Havana, Stop the Truck Complete the mission while blowing up on the explosives twice. 6. Havana, Find the Clue Complete the mission while driving only two cars. 7. Havana, Escape to Ferry Escape to Ferry on a bus. 8. Havana, Pursue Jericho Complete the mission while driving a bus. 9. Havana, Escape the Brazilians Complete the mission with no more than 7 Jericho's quotes.

did these on stream recently, the hardest ones are the driving games ones, I legit almost raged at some of these xD also Stake Out in Vegas is very unforgivable on hard difficulty, that one is a pain.

Thanks for the video. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! About a difficulty level. The difficulty level of cars is based on their grip stats. That means that the higher difficult you choose, the worse car handling will be. But! The best-handling vehicle (which is Rookie) also has the worst acceleration and top speed! So, it didn't seem to you when you saw that your rivals were overtaking you on the straight sections of the track. In a sequel you can see all the stats of every car, and who knows, why they didn't do it in this game! As for me, I prefer Demolition Racer. This game is WAY more fun. Almost like Flatout, but on PS1.

I very much wanna try doing a run like yours, but I have a question: Why did you not activate the cheats on Vegas and Rio? The ones that give you invincibility and immunity :o

Congratulations on the run. I've always wondered how much it would take to finish everything in the game, or if it was worth it. From what you've shown, I think it is. I enjoyed watching this VOD. Im looking forward to other people's attempts at this run, a formalized WR progression and so on.

I think it would also be cool if you subtracted the leftover time from gate racing from the over all split time. It would encourage accuracy. I would say a minimum of 85/100 gates would be reasonable.

Since you are doing the run with undercover first, I would argue invincibility for the missions is ok. I do have an idea for survival. Chicago: get to Wigley Field, Havana: Get to the ocean, Vegas: get to the secret area near the airport. I can't remember where the Rio start point is, so I am open for suggestions. I know Invincibility works for survival, so it would be needed for these challenges, but it would still be a challenge

I have a stupidly masochistic suggestion for a future video: a "no damage" run. As for conditions, here it goes: in missions where you absolutely have to ram someone (Find The Clue, that Vegas one with the blue sedan, Bus Crush and Save Jones), you can only take damage to deal damage (unintentional hit = a mission restart); in missions where you stop the car with "love taps" (those trucks in Havana and the like), said taps are fair game as long as you take no damage. And custcene damage in that Vegas airport mission and Caine's Cash doesn't count since this damage is not your fault. Difficulty level is up to you. Think you can handle that (hopefully without getting a one-way ticket to the nearest insane asylum in the aftermath)?

The car jumping physics definitely differ from the original PS1 version. Guys' commentary is superior and comprehensive.

Fun fact: On the Boat Jump mission, you don't actually have to use a car to jump off the boat. After setting the last bomb, if you make a beeline on foot back to the side entry point, you can walk backwards off the boat and onto the dock to escape. (You will drop down into the water for a second, but if you keep walking backwards, you'll teleport back up to the dock before you drown.)

Taking Jones to the airport was the only mission in driver 2 where you had to lose the tail when you reached the destination. At all the others cops magically disappear in the end. That was a pain in the butt in driver 1 where almost every mission was just like stake out in driver 2.

No one could stop the green sedan if it did not go on the water. Just impossible mission
