If you keep bragging on how your exploiting people cause they don’t bluff someone will eventually use that against you. You occasionally gotta make those hero calls even when you get a card that isn’t good for you/better for opponent if they keep betting it. Just one or two hero calls right or wrong will change the tone and alter their ranges against you At least don’t always snap fold make it look like you have a tough decision sometimes even if you don’t

I know Im just a guy in your comment section but dude.. your hands with AA and KQ you really need to start checking OOP. Players over stab, don't protect their check back range, and telegraph their hand strength with their bet sizing. J99 betting half pot on a board the favors the preflop caller is just not great. Quarter pot or 10% would've saved you more money. You don't have three streets of value anyway. Same with the KQ. Wouldve been nice to see a check and throwing a big check raise on the flop. Just saying, checking OOP especially when youre facing players who over stab prints money. Love the videos, good luck

@travisheim82212 күн бұрын
@@NorCal_Poker Exactly. These players will let you off the hook with their sizing. They also believe just because your checking flop after raising pre you must not have a strong hand. Against passive players who check back many flops betting is probably standard

On the 4 to a flush board what do you think of going something like 500-600 on the river? Any high spade is calling up to 500-600 so might as well go huge and pray he has something worth calling?
@travisheim82213 күн бұрын
lol you're joking right? no High spade is calling for 500 or 600 in that spot without the nuts which hero is currently holding. only a frustrated degenerate or intoxicated moron is paying that off. maybe occasionally the queen high but very unlikely for such a greedy price. What he needed to do was size down to $130 in order to get paid but even then some flushes arent calling. study up

Nah…gotta look at it like it’s one long session. The odds to get coolered on the last hand you play in 1 session, are the exact same as the first hand of the following session. If you don’t have time constraints/responsibilities…you leave when you start playing poorly. Or when you mentally are spent.

Me and the guy were talking being friendly and he is talking about winning and he makes it 15 which I call very quick and he was like what is your hand. I say the winning hand. Flop is 6-6-10. He makes it 30 i make it 100. He goes all in and I snap call. He asks if i have trips and I say I have the 6. We show and he has pocket kings. Rivers are clean and I scoop 300+ pot. @TheNow_Now3 күн бұрын
@@NorCal_Poker that makes alot more sense. I think it's a good fold there. A high board in a 3b pot is very, very underbluffed in this line. As you mentioned, most bluffs involve turning pairs into bluffs which people are terrible at doing. You can just call top of range here which is sets/top two pair, and straights. People let you off the hook by playing so ABC! For example, if this guy doesn't lead the river in the future, his range is likely severely capped and you can just blast it.

You have to call with the set of 88s. In real time I was saying call call, then you folded 🤦♂️. You checked flop and heavily under repped your hand, you got exactly what you want in that spot. Opponent picked up equity in turn and started a bluff with you showing weakness on the flop check. Plus he also has tons of value hands that your beating Two pairs, smaller set, over pairs, etc. The AQ hand could have gone either way, but after he didn’t raise no previous streets, I lean more towards a call, especially since he’s capable. In these spots with a capable opponent, I think you have to close your eyes and flick in the call. Advice: I think you need to do some range chart studying and stop seeing monsters under the bed. Good luck and thanks for the content.
