Tips: 1) Instead of changing all the settings again and again for each dial assignment for 1/2/3. Just configure all your settings one time and assign it to a dial, say dial1. Now for dial 2, go to dial1 (using dial button) and only update the setting you need (like 30p to 60p, focus area etc.). Once you are done, assign it to your dial2. Done! Repeat the same for dial3. 🙂 2) For slow motion videos (100p/120p), go to S&Q dial. Congrats.. you got another 3 dials to configure your slow motion video settings. You just saved dial3 in video mode and may like to use it for something else. Ofcourse the choice is subjective. But thanks to Sony for providing us such options which is actually very useful. @JettReels, May be you can pin this. This may help someone, specially the tip 1. Nice video BTW 🙂.

Hey Jett, recent sub here! Wanna know what all filters you use for the 18-105, i checked some videos where you talk about your camera gear but you never really mentioned the brand/version of these filters you use or mentioned in the description. I really like the image you are producing out of it. I am new to cameras, wishing to get this look, thanks.

I always rehearse in my head the conversations that i think would happen if I tried this. Like the coffee shop, do you ask for permission first or do you just sneakily film. Do you lie and say its for a film making assignment or just be honest and say "hey, I'm filming a little video for my channel, do you mind?"
@jettreels23 күн бұрын
This is a a great question! So it’s a bit of a mixture. For the coffee shop I literally went by “ask for forgiveness not permission”. I just wondered in with my camera on a tripod and went for it. No one said anything. I’m filming another video and in it I film myself in an art gallery. For that I asked permission and explained it was for a KZbin video. They seemed really happy to let me film and quite interested in what I was doing. So I guess it depends on the environment you are wanting to film in. Hope this helps!

Another good video - I like the lighting in this one! What are you using for lighting / diffusing in this video? How do you like your Zoom H6? Lastly, you didn't cover what was in your thumbnail... In the thumbnail, it looks like you are using an iPhone as an external monitor, and the articulating arm to connect it to our camera? That would make a good video in and of itself...

I can’t believe this was your first time filming in public. Absolutely nailed it I was thinking how do they remain so calm walking away from the camera 😅 Maybe worth getting an AirTag and putting it on the camera in case someone does take off with it you can instantly track it. Took the A6700 with a 18-105F4 G lens to Palma De Mallorca this christmas and took some shots. Pictures are okay if you don't pixel peep. The camera is overall average at best. Got two Canon M6 Mark II (yes the discontinued ones) with Sigma 16mm and 30mm lenses (the cheap ones). The Canon is absolutely miles ahead in terms of image quality compared to the A6700. So is a 24MP (lesser than the 26MP of the A6700) Canon R8 with kit lenses (the worst one 24-240mm). The best cameras from Sony right now in this form factor are the A7CII and the A7CR which both are completely in a different league compared to the A6700. Don't get me wrong, it's an okay camera to carry around in the city for some instant shots or videos but I think it's not worth it. The ZV-E10MII has the same sensor, is smaller and shots amazing video with that directional microphone while for phtoos in daylight or even in the night it's good enough. I'll test it more, maybe it's the lens that I'm using but so far I am not impressed.
@GrantSRАй бұрын
It sounds as if you didn't make sure that the camera was starting at the exact same temperature for every test, and that the room temperature was exactly the same for every test. Therefore, there are far too many confounding variables in your tests. Yes, I do plan on getting that fan, because I have an a6700 also. And, I do expect that the fan will give me longer times for shooting videos. But, I will be well aware that even my extended times with the fan will be highly unpredictable, because I will be in lots of different environments with lots of different amounts of sun on the camera. Speaking of which, has anyone know where I can get a tiny little umbrella to mount on my tripod to shade my camera?
@jettreelsАй бұрын
@@GrantSR yes of course I couldn’t do it exactly. I tried my best. I think the video gives a good representation of what it’s like shooting with it. The fan helps but it doesn’t make the issue go away 100%. Ulanzi has actually released a third version of this fan and I will be testing it soon.
@GrantSRАй бұрын
@jettreels I looked up the third version on their website. It looks like this one might actually cool a whole heck of a lot better. But, that thing and it's separate battery looks like it is thicker than the camera itself. It is nice that one could just forgo the weight of that battery, and connect both the fan and the camera to a separate power source, and potentially be able to film indefinitely. I look forward to your review. Oddly, now that means I will not be buying the version two of the fan until I feel like spending the money for version 3 plus it's battery.

6700 is easily able to produce commercial quality work with a breeze, perfect for weddings, portraits any kind of photography. Most modern cameras be it Sony, Nikon and Canon are capable of professional work the camera is only as good as the photographer behind it not the other way round. I’m in the process of moving over to Sony after shooting Nikon professionally for over over 30 years along with Canon. These are tools to create and capture images wanted simples I see video after video more focused on specs over real time use when the eye can’t tell the difference from images captured from the above. Just pick a brand and get creating simples and don’t forget to enjoy 👍❤️

With a good set-up, you can get pretty similar results, apparently, but what about the extremes¿ So, AF is said to be much better on the a6700, but i.e. is there a noticeable difference in low light capabilities between the a6500 and a6700¿ Where else do you actually feel any improvement in actual use cases¿
@mariopassalacqua667410 күн бұрын
Having both the 6500 and 6700 and comparing low light performance, I was surprised that that the 6500 seems to have less noise at similar iso levels for photos. I know this seems counter-intuitive but don’t upgrade for this specific reason.

Hello! I’m coming from Fuji and considering purchasing the Sony A6700, mostly for its autofocus capabilities. My primary use will be for video, mostly on a gimbal, so I’m trying to decide which lenses to get. I’ve seen videos suggesting that the 16-50mm kit lens is sufficient (even though it’s slightly soft, it seems negligible for video use), while others recommend the Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 (though it lacks stabilization). How effective is the in-body stabilization (IBIS) of the A6700 with non-stabilized lenses? Does it handle well? Is there a significant crop factor? I’ve also read good things about the 18-105mm f/4 OSS and the 18-135mm OSS (some say it’s sharper than the 18-105mm). How important is having an f/4 aperture on the A6700 in low-light situations? Up to what ISO can you comfortably push this camera? What would you recommend: investing in a quality all-rounder lens (like the Sigma 18-50mm or one of the 18-105mm/18-135mm options) or getting the 16-50mm kit lens and adding a brighter prime lens later? Keep in mind that my primary use is video (mostly on a gimbal), but I’d like to have a lens that I can also use handheld when needed.

Thanks for sharing Jett! My constructive criticism of your video is that you showed and hid the products in seconds and it was pretty difficult on TV to go back to the moment the product was shown to get the name and details.
