Actually had an ice day in Central Ireland yesterday, a rare event. From midnight to midnight the temperature fell to -4.7 and never got above -0.3. All change today though...

all im hearing is "mild, mild, mild" for weather but today i woke up to the picture of frozen hell! fog so thick i could barely see out of my balcony and the roofs so frosty its made me question of the weathermen even know what they are talking about! i am highly sceptical of mild winter this year infact i fear e could have a snow event around christmas my gut feeling is that we are going to get a cool but wet lead up to christmas then BOOM! cold crap once more maybe 4 to 3 days before christmas day which then sets us up for an SSW that by early jan we will see a BftE.

a trend for colder 2nd week of January. We havent spoken much of the possibility of an SSW this year? I recall last year you saying that we were expecting one due to easterly QBO but what about this year? We can still get an SSW within a westerly QBO??
