Ten Day Forecast: Could The Cold Come Back For Last Week Of January?

Hopefully! The weather has been stunning lately. No rain, clear blue skies, the sun reflecting off frosty roofs and cheeks full of colour after walks. No doubt the dreary grey, mild and rain will return, but I’m making the most of this whilst I can.

Agree 💯%, proper "old school " winter weather. More than enough grey, damp, mild dreary rubbish last year. Its been like a breath of fresh air this last couple of days! 😊

@@andrewmarsh4370 it really has! Been a wonderful little mood boost to start January. Probably the vitamin D from the sun and being able to get out and appreciate nature without everything being damp and grey. Fingers crossed we get a bit more at the end of the month!

Looks like the cold spell should be gone in a few days. I am looking forward to some nice mild weather. Let's hope it does not rain to much, which is often the case in mild weather.

Models always show colder and then flip to mild as it gets closer, it’s been the theme all winter. Let’s just get rid of this horrible cold and welcome in spring 🎉

When I see ensemble graphs like today's ones, with a lot of temperature and pressure scatter, I feel that Day 10 and beyond is anyone's guess. I've enjoyed the cold weather while I could, but there's just a couple of hints of a few more twists and turns before winter is done. Enjoyed the vid.

GFS has been terrible, whatever the ecm does is probably what will happen as that's been the much better model so far, had all the tracks of the lows practically spot on.

I agree. We’ve had lots of rain in south west. Icy days as well. It’s raining then the next day , sheet ic🥶. I’m so hoping for a drier weather this year. It’s too expensive to turn on the heating too. We have a storage heater. Snuggly blankets, hot water bottles and our little dog. Take care😊

People rather think of their own fetishes than people dying from the cold, energy bills or pushing the national grid to the limit.

@@JonVoid37 Even if every single person on the channel and heck in the entire country got down on the knees and prayed for the weather to be mild, it would still be cold as people's hopes, wishes and "fetishes" have no impact on the weather. It will do what it will do. As one of the richest countries in the world we should be able to cope with cold weather and if we can't I would suggest contacting your MP and/or changing who you vote for at the next available opportunity.
