If it's allowed, I'd like to suggest two runs of three top albums in a row. Firstly, the early 70s Barclay James Harvest albums, 'Once Again' .. 'Other Short Stories' .. and 'Baby James Harvest'. Beautifully crafted and probably still under appreciated. However, if you want a man at the absolute top of his game, it has to Stevie Wonder's mid-70s trio of 'Talking Book' .. 'Innervisions' ... and 'Fulfillingness' First Finale'. A true genius. Thanks Rod.

Interesting choice. I've always struggled with Gentle Giant. I come back to them now and again but I'm still waiting for that penny to drop. They are a major influence on one of my favourite bands though. Google search Cashflow by Beardfish and you'll hear what I mean. Cheers

Ive got an ELO Out Of The Blue in blue vinyl from the same year as your Led Zeppelin and I have to say its also got no pops or clips I think it really was just luck back then if your colored record was good or not

I was at coachella about 15 years ago and Terry Reid was at an afterparty I was as but I didn’t know until afterwards and a friend told me she spoke to him! I was gutted! (Tara Reid was also at the same party which was weird!)

Egg - The Polite Force. Is an AMAZING album! Being from the Isle of Wight I loved the references about Ryde Castle Hotel and Newport Hospital. Pretty rare to find a copy in the wild!

I just found Genesis, "From Genesis To Revelation" on CD (Jonjo Music, Ltd) at Goodwill for $1.99. Contains 17 tracks (bonus tracks!). Still definitely their best album! The same day I also found Wendy Carlos's electronica version of "Clockwork Orange CD. Both appear unplayed. ...Speaking of colored vinyl reissues, I found a green vinyl copy of ZZ Tops' "Tres Hombres LP ($10) - again, not even listed in Discogs!

Terry Reid seed of memory would still be a top 100 record of all time for me. Great Find.

Excellent finds Chris. That is the second UK Ege Bamyasi I've seen on You Tube in the last couple of days. I need to track a UK press myself. It's funny that United Artists often pressed UK releases overseas. I have albums by Man and Hawkwind that are UK market, but pressed in either German, Holland, France or Italy. As you are enjoying The Smiths and The Cure, quality 80s - do you listen to XTC at all? Amazing sounding albums and the best band ever (IMO of course). Grab them if you seen them.

Liquid Acrobat As Regards the Air is my favourite of ISBs later albums. ..I have a UK ist on Island, as they signed to them having left Elektra. Townes Van Zandt albums are difficult to come across and OGs are pricey. I've never bought a Vinyl me Please release, but judging by your reccomendation Chris I may check them out. Early Cure records are great..Seventeen Seconds is probably my favourite. Hatful of Hollow is a compilation..Great album, love How Soon is Now. Happy New Year.🎉

Some nice buys there mate. Assagai did another lp called Zimbabwe. There's a 2nd press on the budget Sounds Superb/MFP label called Afrorock that you can get for less than a tenner. I'm still after the Philips pressing of it but never see it around. Have a good Xmas. Cheers Nigel

As regards Beggar's Opera, check out their sophomore - Waters of Change which is for me better than Pathfinder as it has additional mellotron. Saw them live back in the day. Very good live band.

Hi again Chris. Following on from my comment about clear vinyl, I just bought the reissue of The Waterboys This Is The Sea album - which is on clear (only colour rerelease is available on). I actually still have my original copy and I doubt you would find a better - the record and Cover are mint. Back in the day I would bring a record home and record it straight on to a TDK AD cassette and there was no loss of definition over the vinyl. So I was interested to compare the new and old records. I can tell you the original sounded twice as good - level and clarity wise. So it leaves me to wonder - is it the clear vinyl, or are the modern releases sourced from digital rather than analogue and contrary to belief inferior. I’ve bought some of the remastered at Abbey Road series and they are spectacular. But I’m a bit wary now. Merry Christmas, Gary

unreal, i have all of those , except a couple of the vertigos are OZ pressings, some great stuff, those two magna carta albums are great ,wasties is my favorite and i think lizard is my favorite king crimson LP i love keith tippet who plays piano on there, i have a EJ Day printed cover only laminated outside, and my beggars opera first album is a german copy but i have UK copys of the next two beggars opera albums. take it easy mate ,gday from melbourne

Result on Stargazer. I just never see either of her lps in my part of the world. You can get a US 2nd press of the Shuggie lp (orange Epic label rather than 1st press yellow) which is still from the 70s and its obviously cheaper than the 1st press. Nice buys mate....Nigel

Great selection, Chris. The Shelagh McDonald album is a gem. I also managed to find one last year. Mick Abrahams formed Blodwyn Pig after he left Tull and they recorded two albums before he left them to form the M.A. band. They did make one album before At Last called A Musical Evening With......I think they were a 4-piece at the time and then Jack Lancaster who was the sax player in Blodwyn Pig joined for At Last. As you say, a great album. All my Doors albums are 70's reissues and sound very good.

Chris ... here's a little coincidence that you may not know? You recently showed us a Babe Ruth album and their version of 'Private Number' is on the Harvest Heritage 20 Greats compilation album. Now you have Quatermass and they're also on that record with 'Black Sheep Of The Family'. The Harvest Heritage album came out in 1977 and I bought it for the BJH factor. I'm quite new to your channel and I'm very much enjoying it. You don't talk down to your viewers which some of the record collectors certainly do! Keep up the good work and many thanks ... Rod.
