Still havent been able to get on the Indian train. They're ugly as fuck. The victory bikes looked SOOOO much better. But the fact that they fucked over so many riders is bullshit. Id snag a nice used victory but in a few years will I be able to find parts? I agree wholeheartedly with what you said. Keep making parts for Victory. Maybe then youll find some new Indian riders. Until then, I'll keep riding my Suzuki C109R and Yamaha Road Warrior 1700.

Awesome I researched for weeks for my 2019 limited and a bunch of people in the groups run them but running them on 20s and or lifted so I wanted to see stock I was gonna go 65 but nobody near me would install if not stock size so I’m going with the 60 series as well

I love the mad stad, but wish I didn’t get one so dark because I’m under 6’ and constantly trying to look over it especially after sundown. 2016 XC Tour. ‘ Wish I had bought at least two of these bikes. Did not realize how good they were until they quit making them.

I owned a 2004 Touring Cruiser Classic which I purchased new. Prior to that I owned a Harley Davidson Wide Glide which I also bought new. My Vic served me well for 20 years but after Polaris discontinued the Victory brand none of the former Victory Dealers (now Indian Dealers) would do any repair or service work, including routine oil changes. I realized it was time to make a change since I wanted to continue doing long range touring. So, last year I went back to the dark side and bought a Harley Davidson Tri-Glide Ultra. I couldn't take a chance breaking down in the middle of nowhere without the support of a dealer network. Maybe Polaris made a good business decision to distance themselves from the Victory brand but they shot themselves in the foot by not embracing potential Indian buyers just because they didn't want to repair and/or service Victory Motorcycles.

I purchased a used 14 Cross Country in June of 2017. It had a Klock Werks 11 inch screen which seemed good for my 6 foot height. The buffeting was ridiculous. Having put fork wind deflectors on previous bikes I bought a set that Witchdoctors sells for $179.00 at that time. They look exactly like this man has except they were metal. Cleaned up my buffeting. To make it even more calm I put chaps on the engine guards, which I only take off on the really hot months of July and August. I do know a good many Victory riders that do like the Madstad System also, but fork wind deflector are a serious improvement.

IMO...this video is spot on! I purchased a 2006 Victory Hammer in Jan of '06 (coming from the sportbike world, because I couldn't seem to keep out of trouble with the law). I've been ecstatic with it ever since and honestly it really was for the 4 reasons they state in the video! I talked at least 4 friends into buying a Victory and they have been loyal and happy as well. I DO wish Polaris would step up and give the support "Chasing Redline" is suggesting. However, I think it's probably too late to come through. Anyhow, I will continue to ride my Hammer for how long, IDK, but this bike continues to get attention and keeps me smiling along the way.

As a die hard Polaris fan and a new Victory owner I cant agree more, perfectly said. I have already been eyeing up the Indian line and making a plan for my next bike when the time comes. And yes the reason I chose a Victory is because it wasn't a Harley.

I’m still riding my 94 Magna. It has ruined me for anything else. I’ve owned it longer than any other bike I’ve ever owned. It is addictive. That V4 is awesome. It caused me to buy the Honda CTX1300A for long hauls. I made my Magna my own. It was Black when new, now sports a Corvette 50th Anniversary Ruby Red Tri-coat paint scheme with the original Magna logo buried in the clear coat on the tank as the original was. I upgraded grips like yours, windshield, sagglebags, Mustang saddle, stainless steel brake hose, Dave Dodge carb kit installed and changing LED glow lighting along with polished forks and wheels. I installed Mitchelin Commander II tires and really increased the handling performance as well.

Bored to 72mm and stroked to 51.5mm for an 850 classification. An 18 to 20 liter tank. A 36 or 38 tooth rear sprocket. Optional cruiser fairing with LED lights and stereo, comfortable pillion seat sissy bar and hard case bags for touring and slightly softer springs both front and rear and foot pegs moved forward about 6cm. Obviously fuel injected as well! The perfect medium power cruiser for anywhere in the world! You could also offer it in a stripped down Bobber style for city cruising!

I'll say the quite part out loud: Comparing the 2025 Scout Bobber to the 2007 Victory Vegas, I'd keep the 2007 Victory any day of the week! The only thing that's better about the Indian Scout is the power plant. And if they put that power plant on the 2007 Vegas platform then you'd have a perfect bike, in my humble opinion! The biggest downfall to the Victory brand in general wasn't the brand itself, but aftermarket parts. The Victory name alone, at the time, wasn't enough to inspire aftermarket companies to design and produce high end products. The Indian name, on the other hand, instantly jumped that hurdle! But I'm not pissed that Victory is gone, and you shouldn't be either! Most Victory owners are riding are rare and incredible motorcycle, that won't be copied! ;)

It is all about positioning your hands/fingers in there so you can get the tabs compressed simultaneously and pulling out straight. However, this can be a bit difficult to do or it could take a few tries to figure out how to maneuver. Good luck for next time you give it a try! Side note, did you also install a fuel controller with the lloyd's filter or are you using it without one?

Totally agree with your take(s) ... I'm 6'3 and when I sat on a Cross Country Tour in the showroom (in Australia) when they were new ... it felt comfortable without any modifications ... in fact most of their range I sat on and they all felt so comfortable ... I regretfully went for a Harley Road King and even though I changed out bars, seats etc and it still never felt quite right ... all these years later I'm now looking at a Victory again ... lesson learned ...

The other thing i forgot to mention is that this bike is great for young and old. As all of us are getting older and the large 800 lb cruisers become too much to handle, this particular bike at something just short of 500 lbs gives us all what we want in terms of power, reliability, comfort and easy handling.

i had a 82 Magna which i bought used and thoroughly enjoyed it. I didn't ride it for a year and gave it away thinking i was going to get a new bike which never happened. I sorely miss the bike and some are available used. But nobody does a valve job on those bikes anymore, and so i haven't ventured to buy one. It would be great if Honda would bring it back retaining the shaft drive and some modernization such as fuel injection and rear disc brakes and possibly ABS as everyone is going in that direction. I would buy it in a heartbeat. Maybe we can all get together and put up a joint statement to Honda to bring it back which may make Honda take notice? I am game.

To me, the Madstad was instantly beautiful the moment I first rode with it. I bought my XCT about 9 years ago and I really disliked looking through the stock barn door windshield and it was also ridiculously hot. The Madstad solved both problems. I remove the hard lowers during summer months and I still find the buffeting tolerable up to about 80mph. It keeps me in check.
