I want a quilt not full of down but synthetic fibers as I hate the thought of sleeping in dead animal products , I need it to go at least -5 celsius. I found out today some bags use what they call live bird feathers. This means the poor animal was plucked while it was alive then continued to live till it was fat enough to killed be eaten. I don’t want this on my conscious, and apparently many bags and quilts use these fathers. No cool no good. So man use your knowledge and support animal free products and recommend what I can buy. I am sure all reading this now will want an alternative regardless of price.

Thank you for your captivating video showcasing the beloved "Svea 123" stove in a slightly modified setup. Your execution was commendable, and it truly captivated my attention! Furthermore, I stumbled upon a selection of pots that pair harmoniously with this exceptional stove: the Snow Peak Hybrid Summit Cookset, Pathfinder cup , Snow Peak Trek 700 (700ml), and the Titanium Trek Combo (900 + 1,400 ml), equipped with rc model fuel silicone tubing delicately encasing the handles-this choice has undoubtedly become a personal favorite. Best of luck with your future endeavors and cheers to many more adventures!

At first it can barely stay lit. Then it has flames shooting all the way up the sides of the pot. I guess I won't be making one of those. So far, my fav cat food can stove is just that - an unmodified cat food can. You need something to hold the pot up, but you can throw twigs into it and burn those too. And it snuffs out real easy.

Interesting combo. You should mod your svea a little. Carbon felt around the preheat pan to avoid spillage and I removed the chain and key from the svea and instead attached the key to a firesteel+ceramic striker combo with a bit of paracord. The steel chain always gets in the way. For very very cold weather some ground insulation is key (I glued some thin cork and reflection bubble foil together for this. And the small pumps are also great to get it started faster in very cold temps) I use the svea typically with a titanium foil windscreen but keep it half open

For New Zealand Maori women, the moko kauae, or traditional female chin tattoo, is considered a physical manifestation of their true identity. It is believed every Maori woman wears a moko on the inside, close to their heart; when they are ready, the tattoo artist simply brings it out to the surface.

Well done. Looks like it will haul ass. Funny how anything along that line will save you some miles of walking to get help around these parts. Behind the main river levee is the worst place to be stuck or with a drained battery because the driver, me, left the key on in the jeep. lol. We learned to leave an old Honda three-wheeler parked in the bushes covered with a tarp on top of the old original levee that the water got over in 27 I think it was for that very reason. You could get to it and ride for help quicker and easier than going on foot all the way. You also learn to turn off the key and take it out of the ignition. LOL Glad you are well and busy. Spring must be in the air there.

@@bagheerasadventures Life for me and my friends was pretty good growing up. Of course we were white boys in Mississippi in the early 60s. I killed my first of the king's deer, to borrow a Robin Hood line, when I was about 6 years old. Had been a dove and quail flusher and retriever for a year before that. I learned to use the lay of the land by flushing birds in the right direction for Dad and buddies to get a wing shot at. For us it was a wonderful time to grow up. For others here it was not so. Don't get me wrong. I love my country. I just do not see it as anywhere near perfect as some tend to. What will you guys use this for? Not to be too nosey, I hope.

I'm no mechanic but glad you are alive. he 1986 Honda 3 wheeler Big Red that we used, well it is still being used, had the same sort of problem. Bought an after market carb and silved problem. Still have the original and no doubt it just needs a serious cleaning. Have not done that as it got passed down to next generation and maybe they have by now. Maybe some trash of some sort got in the carb busted loose from all of the activities the "Step Brothers" might say. Be safe. You are pressing the old timers area in collective years.

well, a remote diagnosis is always difficult, but maybe false air is an issue, since the carburetor worked on the other engine... I would tighten all the relevant screws in the intake tract and cylinder area on the new engine, ... good luck ... !

You have to understand how the gyros work. It will give up elevator for ground take off. Once in the air it will level out. As for the down elevator that is the gyro trying to level the plane, it will do that because it's sitting on the floor and the tail is lower than the level flight position. I have two of them planes and they do the exact same thing, but once in the air they fly awesome.

A bit late to the party, but mine does the same. I've flown mine about 6 times (shitty, wet, windy weather lately), and mine flys great. Mine has a tendency to climb on full throttle, so i fly on maybe half throttle. I have had one "crash" landing on 3rd flight (about 2ft or so off the ground, throttled back on landing approach, big gust pushed it into the ground). Cracked a chunk out of the lower cowl, and ripped the left hand undercarriage leg mount off. Superglue fixed it in 30 seconds flat. Can't tell there was any damage at all. Hope you're having as much fun with your Staggerwing as I am with mine.
