Thank you for your captivating video showcasing the beloved "Svea 123" stove in a slightly modified setup. Your execution was commendable, and it truly captivated my attention! Furthermore, I stumbled upon a selection of pots that pair harmoniously with this exceptional stove: the Snow Peak Hybrid Summit Cookset, Pathfinder cup , Snow Peak Trek 700 (700ml), and the Titanium Trek Combo (900 + 1,400 ml), equipped with rc model fuel silicone tubing delicately encasing the handles-this choice has undoubtedly become a personal favorite. Best of luck with your future endeavors and cheers to many more adventures!

Ideal, thanks for sharing. Several of my pots/mugs do slip over the Svea but this discovery is the BEST combination. Thanks again.

Great little discovery. I use a camping gaz globetrotter pot set with the svea but have a petrel on order so will give it a shot, thanks👍

Thx, I've been using my 123 as my main stove continuously for over 35 years. I like how it throttles down for a simmer. Your video is delightfully honest and will provoke me to get a similar set-up

Interesting combo. You should mod your svea a little. Carbon felt around the preheat pan to avoid spillage and I removed the chain and key from the svea and instead attached the key to a firesteel+ceramic striker combo with a bit of paracord. The steel chain always gets in the way. For very very cold weather some ground insulation is key (I glued some thin cork and reflection bubble foil together for this. And the small pumps are also great to get it started faster in very cold temps) I use the svea typically with a titanium foil windscreen but keep it half open

@@bagheerasadventures thanks for your vid! The svea is really a part of gear I always come back to. Another tip: Aspen 4 is a awesome fuel for it that burns cleaner than regular white gas stive fuel and was developed for white gas fueled equippment that is operated close to human contact (e.g. chainsaws, lawnmowers)

I bought a Svea 123 in San Francisco in 1972 for $9. Didn’t like it much so I gave it away and went to canister stoves and then alcohol stoves. Now back to canister stoves because of fire restrictions in Northern California.

Fecking brilliant that they fit together! I need to find one of those Sveas. They still make them? Or one has to look for a used one?

Hi Nick. They do make em (china - under licence)

Nice Svea hack I have done a similar hack with the Stanley Cookset with a Trangia knock off meths burner fits inside the cookset , also at least 700mls Very light and compact ., would the Svea with that heat exchanger be faster than the Trangia ? Might be a cool little experiment? I do have a knock off Jet boil and its super fast , lives in my work vehicle.
@bagheerasadventures5 ай бұрын
Hi there Wooks, it will be faster than the trangia but heavier.
@knucker49315 ай бұрын
I like the look of that very much. How does the boil time compare to a jet boil? Although, I'd be happy to avoid using gas. Best wishes Al
@bagheerasadventures5 ай бұрын
Hi Al. I do not own a jet boil. Google says 2.5min.. this is not far off that once primed. I guess you could put the pot on while it was priming to save a bit of time
@knucker49315 ай бұрын
To be honest, the Svea is quick enough for my tastes. I might look for one once I manage to stop buying radio equipment. Best wishes Al
