Perhaps X is the Adam of Reploid kind. Actually he's closer to Stephenson's Rocket, one of the first functional steam engines in existence and as time went on engines looked less and less like him. If you don't believe me look at how different Stephenson's Rocket and Novelty look compared to the Flying Scotsman, Mallard and the Jintys.

I always assumed the redesign was because of the ending for X6. Where Zero goes to a Mysterious Reploid to have him placed inside a chamber to rid his body of the Virus. For which he was told he wouldnt reawaken for a 100 years. I thought it was during this time as the Mysterious Reploid told Zero that he could move his mind and consciousness to a different body while his was being purified of the Virus. So during the time he was in a different body, that Mysterious Reploid was actually Weil and was using this time and opportunity to port Omega ( High-Max) into the original body while Zero was left in this spare Virus-free body. Surely im not the only one who thought of this.

I am quite surprised that Vile didn’t get more screen time and it took 5 games until his return. Easily one of the most underrated characters. I love these type of secondary antagonists that have no other goal but a personal hatred for the main protagonist.

I really like the MX's reploids design, it's cool and all, while MZ's reploids looks more human, human with armor, or a simplified design. I mean MMZ design can be a little bit cooler

I really hope you do the Stardroids in the future.

This is the first of your Obscure October characters that I recognized before clicking on the video, and I liked how they were portrayed in the Archie comic. I always found it weird though to see Wily tramping through the jungle like some Indiana Jones/Lara Croft style archeologist. He's a futurist, what value was there for him in those ancient ruins? He's so old and he barely goes anywhere without his flying capsule, without the aid of anything electronic he'd probably die of heat exhaustion before he ever found Ra Moon.

Is he basically the Predator/Boba Fett of the MM universe?

Theory its coronel clone mixed with dark chips and bug frags it looks like a dark version of coronel , maybe a glitched copy of coronel?

We may forget that in the beginning we only see Zero's upper half missing the torso and Passy (Ciel's companion Elf) basically merge with it giving Passy's design to Zero. Of course that is just a theory but even X's design in Elf form is new so the Elf design might be one of the driving force for this redesign. Also, X looking like that is because he fought in the Elf War, meaning; just like how he can copy their attacks, he can copy their style of armor.

So i mostly played BN3 and my best style was ElecGround with Ice Stage as my reg chip and HubBach in my NaviCus. Also had a guaranteed elec combo. Ice Stage + Prism+ Bolt (any additional damage boost chip). Elec chips do 2x damage on ice. Prism reflects 2x damage of any non break chips. So at most this combo hits 840~1680 dmg. Also while technically it's not a style change i think you should've mentioned master style. A P.A. activated by using each styles signature chips. It literally lets rock beat down the enemy with every style before finishing with a big explosion and was in every BN game after its debut in 3. Although in 6 they changed what chips you needed for the P.A.

Personally i would classify X and Zero as Neo Humans, mostly due to cassern being one of many sources of heavy inspiration for the MM franchise overall, and since X was built by Light to be as Human as possible, a new kind of humanity, a companion of sorts for the original humans

Yeah, if anything nice can be said about X-Over it would have to be that it had interesting designs.

From what I have seen on KZbin zeros body was used in the elf wars as an anti-elf weapon. His head was the only thing that remained, and then 100 years later they just put his head on a new body with all the new designs and technology.

Actually, Ra Moon WAS wrong and numerous people point to its influence being the reason why there were problems with robots in the first place.

I always liked SAR and bought it for little money on eBay years ago. Despite what Inafune says, I count it as canon and accept the darker tone compared to most other Classic Series games. Ra Moon and the connection to the Stardroids is well executed by both Gigamix and Archie too, let alone Duo having his original manga design (that always reminded me of the evil robot tbh) for some time too. For Archie, it was funny how Dr. Light figured Wily and Robotnik used Ra Moon to clone his robots again, while also not letting Ra Moon access the Chaos Emeralds. Gameplay wise we got the Double Mega Busters because of Ra Moon, which ever since is one of my favourite things about Rock compared to any of his other incarnations, and it got even "fixed" in MegaMan 11 and Smash Bros if you so like 😆

I still more like old armor

This was an interesting story. Also makes you remember that we know next to nothing about the other scientific advances in the X era besides the robotic ones. You could definitely make a series of X and the other Hunters dealing with the other types of mad/fringe science that pops up in a future society.

Speculation: Ra Thor is the prototype for Bass and Zero, going by the coloration and shape respectively. I am guessing the Evil Energy from MM8 was merged with Ra Moon's EM wave technology to invent the Robofluenza, and ultimately the Maverick Virus. Heck, the Cyber Elves might be a version of Evil Energy that has been purified.

I find it unfortunate that this game is deemed too dark for Megaman. I think it paints Ra Moon as a truly threatening villain that isn't Dr. Wily.

The Japanese voice actor of Ra Moon was the Legendary Norio Wakamoto. The same Japanese voice actor of cell in dragon ball as he later go on to voiced High Max in Mega Man X6 btw.

What a nice obscure deep dive! The Mu people in Star Force, being ancient and somewhat connected to EM beings is a great connection to why Ancient Aliens would be an actual thing in the BN-SF World. And my theory is that NET viruses are the same as EM Viruses. Since NET Mettaurs and EM Mettennas are the same thing essentially. (Bottom line is that some viruses are originally EM aliens that scilab or whoever were researching and leaked to the NET)
