This makes me appreciate the judges more. if i tried to focus on which jump is which i'd struggle figuring out whats left and right

3:06 impressive but it looks uncomfortable and lacks elegance of the other types of spins.

I am tired of quads. At least, in the beginning they were cool, but too many and then the sport just became too much about out jumping each other. No room for artistry. Also, it looks so painful to see such small girls and women try to land these jumps.

The fact that Evgenia Medvedeva is at #1 shows that the the judges in charge of looking out for edges isn't doing their job. Hers, Anna Scherbakova's, Kaori Sakamoto's are some of the most obvious flutzers I've ever seen that have almost never been called out

Frankly I can’t tell the difference between any of those jumps. Nevertheless, they are all beautiful.

That camel variation isn't very graceful. The awkward effort to achieve it distracts from the elegant flow of a routine

Thank you for the video, i used to watch Figure skating regulary in the early 2010's but they stoped transmiting in my country cuz we don't have competitors on the sport. I got back watching this year thanks to ISU online transmissions but i was finding really hard to diferentiate the jumps. thank you for the detailed explanation, i'll get back to this video many times until i learn fully.

I always think that jumping sequences were unfairly rewarded. Let’s say you do a 4lutz+1A SEQ, and its BV is (11.5+1.1)*0.8=10.08, which is lower than a 4lutz, meaning you earn fewer points for doing something extra.

My girl lol you say that Yuzuru Hanyu does not do prerotation and then you show a video of him prerotating by 180°. He benefits so much of the judging system it's insane.

This video is perfection. I'm an animator looking for reference footage and I can't emphasize enough how priceless this information is, presented as you've done it with descriptions, detailed frame stops and circles to point out notes, and then examples. Phenomenal job.
