The models look cool. I'm not a fan of the way resin models are packed by PP. It really causes quite a horrendous bends . Also, a small feedback. I have just recently returned to your videos and it feels like there is more swearing. If that's your style and that's how you comfortably express yourself that's cool. But if you are doing this to make it more "casual" and "edgy", you really don't have to do it for our benefit. And it comes across as a bit forced.

They were the other army i had confusion with on what one to get. I love Cryx but I love the Warjacks, the Mastodon, is one i might just buy to have, no need to play it. Plus you must have heard about the selling of some of PP to StemaForge?

The magnet thing to my gathering is that the intent originally was to include them, but due to regulatory things on choking hazards and such with toys got in the way. This is why they don't package them in the boxes for starters anymore either.

Got mine kinda went with a junk yard vibe for the jack still have to paint the caster but the caster I’m having troubles with figuring out his paint

I had the same thing happen to my carver I bought at a FLGS. Skull was broken off out of the box. The amount of, size of, and placement of supports left on Carver and MMD47 is the first time I got a WM4 model and went "Ok you're effing with me." Because some of the supports don't even make sense. There are supports between pipes that are TOUCHING. The support is barely there and very hard to remove. The supports between the chain links on the belt make no sense. It took way too long to clean that model up. I love it now that I'm painting it... but they gotta improve.

I like being able to pose models. However I know a lot of folks that just want to get stuff on the bases and play with them, so I understand why they do it the way they do. At least they gave units a number of different poses this edition.

Yea the Khador cadre needed a larger box. They were stuffed in their and I found most of the warcasters had the droopy axe

Aw the Joys of 3d Printing. I once got a whole unit of Man O War Demolition squad that had all their hammers warped. Where i live its hot most of the time so warping is fun. But didn't realize i could put them in hot water at the time so I used a lighter and reset them. Also i have an Iron Fang Pikeman army that i just replaced all the Spears with Copper Rods its saved me so many problems.

first, the magnets conandrum, it was Privateer intention that they would be complementary, but they ran into a problem called international laws, where miniatures are considered toys and in many countries toys cannot have magnets(for toys are for children and children are not the wisest entities and might eat a couple and it may need surgery to remove) so they were actualy strugling to solve the issue, and yes it is less convenient for models to come without magnets, for me is actually better if they are cheaper without magnets(im in brazil 87% import tax is not nice) and i bought 300 3/16(5x2mm) and 500 1/8(3x2mm) round neodinium rare earth super strong magnets for like less than 15 bucks. the cryx necrofactorum starters the dismemberment of the jacks+caster from the box is a good idea in theory since(if the names are not confusing and the box with the units and solos is called something like Cryx necrofactorium starter suplemente/conplement is ok) the only theoretical loss is a possible bad feel buy(that if both casters are scouts and the points in the box are not screwed is solved) by buying either of the starters(comand or just normal starter) that could not be enough for the smallest scale game, and the added clicks online and an extra boxto carry around(it does bloat SKU by a massive quantity of 1(each MKIV army has 6.5 to 10(starter+expoansion+jack/beast A+Jack/beast B+Leader C+80mm+cadre(can be counted as a 0.5 since it servs two armies of the same faction)+ex pre-order bundle(don't know if they are regular offers to LGSs normaly if it isn't does not add to SKU)+ Aptheosis caster(don't know if they are regular offers to LGSs normaly if it isn't does not add to SKU)+character upgrade pack(don't know if they are regular offers to LGSs normaly if it isn't does not add to SKU))), but what it might kill is the price if the modular jacks/beasts A & B+ leader A + suplement box is substantialy above 200 MSRP than it might be a problem, given the versatility the dismembered option(given it is not substantialy more expensive) is a pro consumer move, granted, by what we saw the next two armies necrofactorum and gradiggers might be bad comparisons since necrofactorum Raptors are coming in a pair on the bundle and deppending on how the supply drop back weapon works on the valiant(there is still too many unknown variables to make an assertion) they might have more "bang for buck" than the previous options so they could have a price hike(like khymaera hidrixes that the full model is technicaly 10 bucks above other heavies) "justifably"

Always the fun part of 3D prints. I understand you about the bases. We got so used to the injected mold bases after 20 years. Its always good to see more Warmachine channels on KZbin. They do have quite a few weapons options with these newer guys. Its pretty nice.

I have heard the issue of the supports from many folks now. I hope Privateer can find a solution and correct it going forward.

I bought a $7 set of stainless steel dental tools off amazon and it gets into those hard to reach supports easily.

I'll second that advice about superglue. Find a brand that works for you and stick with it. I use Scotch. I use thinner one for resin and thick one for metal. It's good because it doesn't leave much residue. (my mistake was using different brand as a substitute, only to discover that it leaves a nasty residue on surrounding area. So when i tried to glue the head to the torso of a mini, guy's face was covered in this pretty horrible frosting. Completely ruining any detail.) As for test-painting model, i found that metal models are much better, since paint-stripping is a lot easier with the likes of airbrush cleaner. Meaning you can repaint them as many times as you like. Whereas plastic and resin minis are of course a lot more tricky.

"Cries of remorse" ? Yeah, it really takes seeing someone else's setup to realise how much of a financial sinkhole this hobby can be.

Great Video. Thank you for your deep dive of the App. I appreciate that all the models minus the alternative history warcasters (Points to you if you ever got to play with them) are still around. Casual play is always a thing and i appreciate that with the New MK4 privateer press updated all the old guys to the new rules and semi balanced their systems to be able to play up against the newer more customizable MK4 armies.

I guess i got into mini rescue on ebay as an off-shoot of tabletop. Essentially i had product and price knowledge, and experience in fixing damaged models. And as i was looking for some old, hard to get minis i kept noticing some hidden gems in joblots or on ther own, often with missing parts and in a pretty awful state. Since i was getting my models paint stripped and fixed, i thought i might as well get some of those "hidden gems repaired as well and sell them labeled properly so they are easier to find for those that might need them. It certainly wasn't to make much profit. (i detest scalpers selling new stuff for 5x the original price) It helped a bit during the pandemic and it kept me busy.

And here i was praising battlefoam in your last video... (i guess being in scotland, you kind of expect your order to arrive between 3-30 weeks). But, genuinely sorry to hear about the delay, and hopefully it won't cause too much hassle.

Thanks. That's quite a useful video. (i tend to forget packing glue)... As for bags, i can absolutely vouch for warmachine battlefoam bags. I have both the standard one (and the amounts of pockets, and storage that goes into that thing is amazing). I also got the smaller p3 paints bag from battlefoam, and they can be zipped together to increase the storage. And of course foam trays are interchangeable, so i can just take model trays in p3 bag if I'm only doing a small 25-50 points game. So yeah, if anyone is on the fence about buying them, that's a strong recommendation from me. I don't have the backpack or magnetic variants, they seem pretty nifty too.

Great work on those. Looking forward to hearing how you'll get on during captaincon. Personally i think the colour scheme(s) are really cool. I also think that as a tribute to a friend is a cool gesture. I can relate to that. And as a former warhammer hostage i quite like story about transfer of colour schemes from 40k to warmachine. I wonder what your thoughts are on p3 paints compared do citadel? Or how is contrast on 3d printed resin compared to palstic or finecast?
