I had my account flagged twice when I withdrew $10,000 on separate occasions, they only asked what it was for to have something written down and I stated "it was just to keep money off the books". I never had anything become of it, but it was interesting to watch how people's demeanor changes

this is really helpful. actually I did all of the mistakes that you mentioned earlier. the card I have right now is my first, so I definitely fall into the beginner user category. I once used all the credit limit to buy a phone. It costed me about $1000. however, I didn't pay off everything during the first month cycle. I tried to pay a lot, but sometimes there are months when the cashflow was really bad and I only got to pay the minimum amount. at the same time, I'm still using it for gas and other casual shopping needs. after about 3 years of using it, I realise that the debt is never ending. the interest keeps getting charged onto my card every month with a fixed amount, no matter how much I paid in the previous month. at some point, I felt suffocated. I started regretting getting and using the card at the first place. watching this video really helps me out to see things clearer. thankfully, I have paid off all the amount left on my card, and decided to close this one as it really doesn't give me the benefits which I really want. I have a card in mind, which seems interesting as it gives rewards on a shopping app I use almost on a daily basis, so I probably will go apply for that one instead. thank you so much, sir Liang. your insights are really appreciated. ❤

I was told at a real estate conference years ago to keep your revolving utilization around 10-15% of your credit limit (but still pay off cards each month)

don't say it's an engagement ring and carats don't really matter just get something that looks nice and suits the style of the person you're buying it for. if you want diamonds 100% get a lab grown one OR an antique. or consider moissantie. but also remember that there are a lot of other gemstone options too like sapphires or rubies. some people don't even want a diamond in the first place. all that matters for gemstones for every day wear (like engagement or wedding rings) is they should be very hard (8 or above) to limit wear and tear. that gives you a LOT of options. just get lab grown anything tbh. the lab grown ones are cheaper and not mined by children.

You have to be able to pay your credit card in full every month without possibility to not be able to pay
@shengyang0211852 күн бұрын
This whole video is presumtious as it assume most Americans actually HAVE money in savings or income to PAY the large charges off in a matter of 30 days. Honestly, if you need to spend $10,000 on something or an emergency and HAVE the cash to pay for it, use the cash/savings/debit way to pay for it. Or at the very least, use mostly savings and debit to pay for at least 75-80% of the purchase and the remaining 20% on credit to boost your credit score and to keep the credit bill to a low minimum so you dont drown in debt and interest payments from 1 transaction in a month's period. IF, you have savings to use. Which, most people dont. So.....

My bf was equally happy and surprised when I didn’t want a gold and diamond ring and instead asked for a blue topaz silver ring for our wedding. It’s amazing with a lot of details in the silver and a heart shaped stone, but inexpensive. He could afford something way more expensive and I think he was prepared to pay more, so I asked him not to. As cheesy as it sounds - he is all I wanted. The ring is just a symbol, the price tag is irrelevant.

You completely miss the point of this card. It’s not meant to be a stand alone product, it is an accessory to your brokerage account. This will give Robinhood a competitive advantage against other brokerage firms. 3% match on my Roth, 4.75% on my HYS, now 3% cash back on my credit card, redeemed straight to my brokerage is just the icing on the cake. Definitely not a good card unless you like to invest for sure.

Bilt mastercard is already slowly losing some of its appeal. Its clear WF is not happy with the amount they are losing on them. Some benefits such as transfer rates are not being attached to tier, but rather algorithmic targeting. Rent day benefits and selection of airlines have gotten worse. I had planned to just run all of my households spend through Bilt just to avoid the credit card min-maxing. However the fact users of a much lower tier got better transfer rates makes me feel bilt does not actually value me as a customer.
