What I don’t understand is if you don’t use credit and everything is paid off, then your FICO score goes down. Then when you re-apply for credit you get high rates and then you get negatively impacted everything your credit is pulled. I honestly think the credit game is a joke.

Correct if I’m wrong.. I was under the impression that credit balances are based upon total credit. For example, if I have 5 credit cards with 1k limits, I have a total of 5k in credit. As long as I use 20% or less, I should be good. So for example: if 1 credit card I’ve used $900 out of that $1000, due to the fact I have still $4100 in total credit limit left, I’m still under the 20% mark. But in this video, it’s saying that the one card could be reporting that im almost maxed out?

Amex Gold increasing their annual fee and in return giving it's users a credit to a resy, where most likely you're going to spend a lot more than $50, and a coffee joint that in my opinion good coffee, feels like a bad move all together. Deep down I feel that credit influencers don't like this new Amex move but will continue to push it on their channels. I can see the 'salesmen'/sales pitch that y'all are pushing. I am a current amex gold user but won't have to pay the $325 until next Aug. I preferred the $250

I have the Amex plat, gold, and Alaska card. Pretty much can get into any lounge and love all the benefits. I don’t care if they raise fees as I like less people in lounges. Value is what you make it and no one card fits all in my opinion.

Hi, John, do you think it is a good idea to redeem your points. At 1.1 rate and invest it in stock market is better than use it for travel if the travel is not extremely necessary? I recently always thinking about these, I have around 2 million Amex points and 1.5 million chase points now, people always say don’t save points , use them or it will get devalued year by year. I was thinking if I redeem them all and buy stock such as NVDA, I definitely already get value more than 2 cents per point and it is an actual saving as cash in my account.

Is there any benefit to using this card on regular large purchases like expensive new TVs , laptops other large electronic price items. Either get multiple Citi custom cashes based on your food spending, or US Bank Altitude Go (4% back on all food). There is no better card for eating out specifically. Amex Gold doesn’t make up for it in the slightest.

Yes, I received my freedom flex without having any relationship with Chase, you just need a sufficient annual income. Also make sure to look at the branch offers!

Yes you can still apply. Specifically with Chase cards, you can apply for them as long as you haven't already been approved and accepted 5 cards in the last 24 months, this is the Chase 5/24 rule.
