Can I request a design of the guitar size, because I have a college assignment to make a guitar?

At about 10:06 in the video, you’re using “sticks” with rubber on the end to hold the interior bracing pieces in place while gluing, but I don’t understand what’s putting the vertical pressure on the “sticks”. Did I miss something? A remarkable video, and fantastic (and affordable) craftsmanship… thanks! Duh! Wait, I think I got it… do you have a frame of 2”x4”s that stands above the body to provide the vertical pressure? If I got that right - there’s a first time for everything! - is there a solid top on the frame to provide vertical pressure points on the “sticks” for wherever the bracing is?
@GitaraMaker3 күн бұрын
Yup, there's a 2" thick block of wood above (it's a failed resin and wood body blank). I used to use 3/4" plywood but it couldn't handle the pressure and broke.

The idea is incredible, but the hum is brutal and it's overall a bit flicker-y? A smoother "attack and decay" for the lights would probably enhance this even more. :)

I'm looking for a way to isolate the electronics, but nothing is working. I'll make a video once I get this fix.

Cool. I'm kinda wondering if most of the hum might be coming from the strip lights around the outside edge.
@GitaraMaker2 күн бұрын
It's from all the led lights, even if there's only a few of them it will make that noise. I'm thinking of removing the volume and tone, cause that's where the hum is possibly interfering.

You Fender neck guys are so much more efficient with wood, you were able to get two necks. I would've only got one neck out of that piece because I need that 17 degree break angle so it'll snap the first time I set it down a little too hard and if i can do that in one piece without using a scarf joint, even better.
