¡SUBLIMACION DEL ALMA! W.A.MOZART: MÚSICA GLORIOSA, INABARCABLE, INTERACCIÓN COROS, SOLISTAS Y ORCHESTRA; FUGA, CONTRAPUNTO. MELODIAS DE LA BELLEZA, DESESPERACION. EL DOLOR. CONMUEVEN LO MAS PROFUNDO DEL ALMA. HUMANA; SI TAN SOLO EXISTIERA LA MUSICA DE MOZART Y DON QUIJOTE; LA VIDA MERECERIA LA EMOCION DE VIVIRLA. A VECES ME PREGUNTO SI HAY QUE LAMENTAR SUS CORTOS 35 AÑOS O AGRADECER QUE LOS HAYA VIVIDO, ANQUE FALLECIERA, COMO EL MISMO LO DIJO, CON SUS FACULTADES INTACTAS. SI J.S.BACH ES EL PADRE, W.A.MOZART ES EL HIJO AMADO. DONDE ESTE ¡ BRAVISSIMO! LEONARD BERSTEIN. ENRIQUE C, DE YCAZA C, Arq.

Beautiful. But i wish the solos harmonized more. Parts felts like they were trying to overpower each other so felt more like shouting than singing. But that's just me tho 🤷🏾♂️

The top F in tenor for the modulation to the dominant minor for the initial music of the Rex Tremendae is a pinnacle moment in all musical history and a remark on one man’s talents and path of artistic endeavour.

The image this conjures in my head is one of being cast into Hell from a mountain top or an old Roman marble building, robes fluttering in the wind, embers flying up from the fires, ya know, Hollywood style! Ahhhhhhhhhhh! Consumed by flames. Great piece of Mozart! Terrifying song for a Halloween Haunted House!

Bernstein has the skill, courage and experience to take this at such a tempo. The modern world has conditioned us to 'consume' food, drink, music, visits to art galleries, etc. at pace, and to really fail to savour the finer tastes, flavours and the details of the delicacies on offer. This rendition allows one to thoroughly appreciate the depth of emotion encapsulated in this piece, as well as Mozart's unparalleled skill. It may have been written for someone else, but it is truly Mozart's own requiem.

I used to listen to baroque music in the 1970's while painting in my room as a teenager. The rock band Queen turned me on to it with their use of the harpsichord.

Strange that the trombones appear to have been omitted from the 'Ore supplex...' section. They are present in the Confutatis Maledictis but in the Ore Spplex it sounds like only bassoons/basset horns accompany the voices. I'm sure that Mozart specifically scored trombones here to give the appropriate gravitas and solemnity.
