Sorry to hear you havent been feeling the best - I hope you find the time to just slow down and be gentle with yourself. I especially love the first inspiration image you shared! I always feel that once I get shelves and art and knick knacks in a room it feels so much more cozy and comfortable.

Oh dear have you thought of making an ASMR video? The entire sequence with describing what's in your bags with the crinkling was very ASMR-worthy. You could just describe the content in a slower pace and in hush tones and voilà!

I feel inspired now and i want to make a bodywarmer. Do you have any tutorial (for beginners) or recommendation for one? Yours looks perfect! 🤩
@angelicavis13 күн бұрын
Thank you! Well I self drafted mine, I usually use a shirt that fits nicely to base a pattern on. I have also used this tutorial in the past before, it's not a bodywarmer, but you can basically just leave out the sleeves and split the bodice into two I guess? Hope it helps! kzbin.info/www/bejne/eILNc62Ljp5lm7M

lovely west! and the scarfes too, they suit you and your outfits :) have you blocked them already? if not, that might help even out the stitches a bit!

Thank you! No I haven't blocked them yet/ I do intend to do that, I hope it will help a bit! Thanks for the tip :)
@astraspidastra719514 күн бұрын
I was going to say the same - I used to hate blocking, but then I realised how much it helps with softening & shaping uneven knitting!!. I like to use long sewing pins and a Turkish bath towel, draped horizontal on a clothes horse. The thin towel allows the wool to dry quickly, while providing a good base for the blocking 😊

I need a flower bodywarmer for gardening too! My tip for the bulbs is to place them near to each other like small clusters (is that a word..😅). In my first year of gardening I placed them in a row 10cm apart and they looked awfull and kept falling down when the flowers became big and heavy. I've had some break from social media but nice to see your videos again. 😍

For me, what inspires me the most is watching videos of people sewing dresses 👗 I love love dresses, 5 to 6 times a week I wear dresses, it doesn't matter the season 😅. But I want to sew some trousers next year, specifically to fit curvy, the majority of them give me a wedgie 😅😅 I hate that.

well done! And as I am a "home-make-owner-watch-maniac" myself, I am often annoyed if these people have all the right tools and know everything about how to do things. Great to see that you are also "struggling" and not always too enthusiastic about everything. You have to do it, and that's what you do and you put effort in and it shows and works out. So again - Good job Angélica. 👍👌🙌⭐⭐

Funny thing.. magpies are my ‘thing’… as in when I’m questioning something in life, i see a magpie… 😬 Lovely print! Also, I completely agree with the ‘making art for the joy’ aspect you’re alluding to… I am working on a HUGE project, related to sewing, so my ‘creative joy’ is now in art.. painting, drawing, anything that isn’t sewing gives me a feeling of joy because it ISN’T sewing or pattern making… Thanks for todays video Angelica.. came at the right time.. I’m going to eat, and get out my sketchbook and pencils for some me time. 😎

I moved out of my old flat (to which I moved in 2012!) in 2020, to a new city (because of a new job), during the pandemic, 6 weeks after my job started (so I had a place to sleep in-between). My (now not so) new place is a tiny bit smaller than my old one, so there was no glorious "oh so much new space" and more "why do I have so much stuff??". I had so many emotions during moving and still often have a hard time watching moving vlogs, as they all seem to mostly focus on all the exciting new things and that is not what I felt at all.
@angelicavis3 ай бұрын
Ohhh I can only imagine your feelings! Even though I moved to a muuuuch bigger space, it felt incredibely overwhelming. I can't imagine how that must have felt like during the pandemic where you moved to a new city!! And lockdowns in a new place! That must have been horrible.. gosh. Do you still life there? I hope it feels like home now! :) And yes agree that all the moving vlogs are all about fun and excitement, while it sometimes can just only be very stressful...

@@angelicavis I still live there! To be honest, as soon my cat was there, it felt like home. And I think she felt the same (she hated the place we stayed at in between). Thank you for the video, it was a joy to watch as allways😊 i think most of your problems with the fit would have been solved with thinner fabric that has a more drape to it.
