I’ve been doing digital art on pc with a mouse for a couple years and it’s been so difficult, so this looks like a great change! I can’t say for sure yet because I haven’t gotten the tablet yet

As someone who has attended Wasabicon since 2018... this year felt incredibly different.. I wasnt going to go, but did and honestly regretted it. Even as a local con, I want to save to go to bigger better cons.

Hi!! Have you received the 3-in-1 cable with your tablet? (Shown at 2:25) because that’s what made it turn on for me! Although it could depend on your computer/monitor and what ports you have on it!!

I haven’t tried any other XPPen tablets aside from this one, so I can’t give an answer from experience 🥲 but given how there are a couple of “firsts” with this tablet, I assume they’re different!

I haven’t been able to figure this out myself! I’m assuming it can depending on the settings of your computer, but I’ll check on it and see if it’s possible. However, I’ve done a bit of research and it seems that people have figured out the accommodation with other XPPen tablets so maybe they can help too, even if they’re not the same model 🫶

I'm glad I watched this video. I'm thinking of making money off art, videos, and streams in the future. But I also am scared of it and am thinking realistically about it. But hearing other people's experiences with making a living of stuff like art helps. Will also have to check out your art. It looks so good

It was a really tough year. It takes most artists on average about five years to get to a sustainable income. Most don't because they quit. So - best advice is keep going.

How would you recommend treating art like your job when you actually have a "normal" full time job, and aren't financially stable enough to switch to part time?

Setting some time aside after work for your art is a good place to start! Even if it's between 30 minutes-1 hour, it'll still be a consistent schedule you set for yourself each day. If you're also trying to earn a side income from your art while working a full time job, doing commissions or selling digital products (example: coloring pages or Procreate brushes) are good ways for treating art like your job too! I hope this helps 💕

Despite the poor sales, I kinda wish I'd been able to be there this year for Wasabi. It's usually a pretty fun convention and also my inaugural con when I started solo as well. Gotta love jury duty popping in out of nowhere then cancelling a few days *right* after they closed the booth choices. Would have loved to catch up with ye, Ivan, and others over there. Definitely looking forward to seeing ye at Holmat this year as I *FINALLY* got back in there again!

@kars4009 yes I figured it out eventually actually. What I had to do was find out if my monitor supported Display port, so instead of using my hdmi port on the very bottom panel on my pc I used the displayport for my monitor and the hdmi for the drawing tablet. After it works perfectly now! Let me know if this helps!!

I just got the tablet and I love it so far! I’ve been using Krita, too. What brushes did you use? I really like your style and I feel like the textures and brushstrokes you went for in your art could be really fun to use in my style :)

I mainly just use the default drawing brushes that are already installed in the app! Although I haven’t touched Krita as much since I made this video because I plan on trying out clip studio paint! 🩷

I’m planing to get one for Christmas thx to your video. As the size seemed very portable yet big and the price is affordable. Plus it has the x3 chip. Also how come the company hasn’t advertised it yet compare to other drawing tablets? As this is the only video review I can find and I don’t see any ads for it compare to there other tablets.

Im very new to this does the laptop you connect the drawjng table with matter i mean if its a cheap laptop will it affect my experience?

Honestly I feel it depends if your laptop has the right ports for the cables to connect to. Because if it does, it should work! And depending on how old your laptop is, it might affect the speed but I see this tablet as a second monitor to your laptop so if the laptop's speed is normally good, the tablet's speed should be good too 😊

Yep you have to have it plugged into a computer! It’s almost like a second monitor for your computer/laptop. I can’t get it to turn on or work properly otherwise, based off my experience so far using it 👍
