Yo, shout-out to 2025. I'm hoping to fulfill my childhood dream of starting a comic next year, currently working on designing a simplified art style and process so I don't go crazy drawing it lol. It's honestly such a crazy amount of work to make even a short comic. From writing a script, to figuring out a style and process, to character designs and backstory, TO HAVING TO DRAW BACKGROUNDS, I truly feel nothing but the utmost respect for any artist that have successfully completed a comic.

Thank you so much!! I agree, it's never easy but it will be so rewarding in the end! And I use the default version of the shale brush, no adjustments aside from changing its stabilization sometimes to get smoother lines 💖

This was so interesting to watch! I really like your style :) I want to make comics too and I’ve tried to do mini ones but I can definitely say the backgrounds are holding me back, it takes wayyyy too long. I was wondering how do you do your backgrounds? Do you freestyle it?

Thank you so much! 🥰 I also struggle with backgrounds! It does help simplifying them as much as you need to, but still convey what the background is. I do freestyle them but I reference my past pages to make sure that the backgrounds are at least similar haha
