Counting votes should be fairly straightforward. It's like money in the bank -- it too gets tallied at every stage of the voting process. You can't end up with a huge amount of extra money in the bank at the end of the day. Nor with a huge amount less. It has to tally to the last paisa. I worked in abank (for awhile) and know how we struggled to balance the books (in those pre-computer days). If there was a one paisa difference, we had to find that paisa.Not because the paisa itself was important, but because it could signify a far greater problem. If everything is right, payments made minus the payments received (in a bank) should reflect the surplus or deficit for the day. To the last paisa!
