But there is a mod, something called EaglePatchAC2 or something, that allows for the UPlay additional content to be accessed... ...as well as fixing the control scheme for controller to use the original console bindings (among other various fixes). I know this information doesn't help after the run is concluded (or the two weeks after said video is published). But just trying to inform in case you desire to play AC2 on PC again. And if this information is mentioned in the video, well then I shall certainly have egg on my face. Currently I'm around 5:40 into the run time, so time will tell.

I quit Elite for 2+ years because of how atrocious gathering Engineering materials was. I will never forgive FDEV for taking so goddamn long to make this needed change, but at least it happened. EDIT: Oh and since it's been a while, not sure if it has always been this way, but the system state where I found mine was Outbreak and the HGE state was Expansion. I decided to check it out anyway. Surprisingly, it had Pharmaceutical Isolators! So I guess check the HGE no matter what "state" it is in.

You could do this without the trainer. Just do new game plus and sell everything that isn't the starting items and the Red 9, then ban yourself from using any money above the amount you collect from a fresh save(calculate your money disregarding the money you already have).

You could quickly scan the encoded materials at the Jameson Crash Site before the change. Yes, there are now more scanning beacons to scan to make it even quicker. However, the time-consuming part of this farm was always the round trips to and from the material trader. That part is the same unfortunately. I wish they had added a second grade 5 encoded mat.
