Old video at this point but what about the thumb?
@stasisjiujitsuandyoga
@stasisjiujitsuandyoga 3 ай бұрын
To be honest, the thumb is a difficult one to tape from what I have seen. My recommendation would be to tape it your palm. May not be the most pretty but it gets the job done.

Seems easier to set up than a standing darce
@stasisjiujitsuandyoga
@stasisjiujitsuandyoga 4 ай бұрын
That's probably true, but it's easier to set up from standing than a darce. Unless you have long, thin arms to easily secure a figure 4

How long should you hold the squeeze ? And should u do it in sets like 3 or 2 sets
@stasisjiujitsuandyoga
@stasisjiujitsuandyoga 6 ай бұрын
That's the great part of this. There is no hard rule on it. Work your way up from a low, less intense squeeze/set and gradually work up! Consistency is more important than intensity. Do it every day or every other day and see how you feel. Hope this helps!

John Danaher's RNC barely uses a squeeze at all. He's using the Rhomboid Major to pull the shoulderblade towards the spine and this method is way stronger. I tested his RNC method and even without much grappling experience, I can tap people over their chin with 2 hands inserted over the chin.
@isthi000ify
@isthi000ify 3 күн бұрын
Squeeze is needed for defending arm bar, wrestling, body locks etc, guard retention (lower body squeeze strength needed) Also try doing the RNC in them championship minutes ...hell yeah you'll need that Squeeze

One thing that really struck me about what khabib said is he's always engaging his leg muscles to keep them pinned especially in mount. Having tried it, it's a really weird muscle that's working and I would say unless you've trained it for a very long time. They will tire fast or not be strong enough to grip the opponent

Trust me, when you’re getting choked out, you’re going to focus on ripping the arm off you from the choke, now yes they’re humans who’re willing to do more logical things while being choked like trying to scratch your eyes out, or whatever they can to cause you pain to let go, but 99% of people are instinctively going to act the same way, and that’s them panicking as they get choked unconscious

I read some statistics that the ring finger is the weakest finger and stands for 75% of all serious single finger accidents. That's a disproportionate amount and definitely deserves some taping love if you'll only tape one!

I dunno anyone else, but if a dude ever puts me in a streetfight guillotine I'm kneeing or uppercutting his balls first and then I'll do the evasive moves... if it's a woman, then she getting hit in the solar plexus or getting a strong experience with my manfu-claw down in her nether region.

It's sad that I have had to do this. Did my best to diffuse, guy threw a wide right at me and I caught it with my left and had his arm locked, went into guillotine, and then dropped his forehead into the ground and was on top. Game over. Always diffuse and walk away if you can.
