This has been my favorite video for a long time. I didn't have internet access cause I'm from Cuba but a friend sent me the video and I lost it, I had been looking for the video for years and finally found it!! I love it!! It's beautiful, the colors, the clips, the music everything fits together perfectly 😍😍😍

Cool video as always Sam. I’ve contemplated selling my two Sony bodies and shoot an SL3 alongside my Q3 for weddings but can’t see past the A7ivs and how well they work for weddings. Did you include the link for RAW downloads? Would love to have a play with the files if possible 😊

I hate myself 😖 I should have purchased an extended warranty on my brand new X-T5 camera. Long story short... After ownership of the X-T5 for one year and nine months the camera is in need of repair because of mediocre average built quality. I sent the camera into an official Fuji repair tech who told me (3-weeks later) it will cost $210.00 (US) dollars to replace the sticky on/off power switch. Yes, $210.00 dollars to replace a manufacturer faulty switch on a LESS THAN 2-year old camera 😡 Before anyone attack me I'd like to say that the camera was very well taken care of. i.e., It was never stumped on by a pack of domesticated Indian elephants. It was never used up in the wintry Swiss alps. It was never used as a weapon while walking through unsavory neighborhoods in Los Angeles. It was absolutely never taken into the bath tub with me! In fact, I took better care of my camera (Fujifilm X-T5) more so than of myself. My advice to all interested purchasers of any Fuji camera product, BY EXTENDED WARRANTIES! on the 400mm lens, the X-T20 and the X-T5. Important: do REGISTER your new toys so you'll get direct email notices on all new firmware updates.

The SL3 is probably the sexiest cam on the market, indeed - but way too expensive for what you get. At the end, it is just a cam. I think people shoot Leica because they can or want to - it must be the feeling you get when you start shooting with one. From a tech perspective, other Cams are way ahead and more reliable than the SL3. I cannot imagine using an SL3 as my workhorse - even if I have to admit that during my test shooting days, I had a lot of fun with. However, I use an M11 just for fun (travel)... I love the files of that 60mp sensor, the click of the shutter and the fact that it is slowing me down while taking photos. Anyway, cool video Sam, thanks for that - nice format and explanations. Not an usual Leica video ;-)

how you achieve such a consistent look across your photos and videos?
@SamuelElkinsPhoto7 күн бұрын
Years and years of refining my color palette. It takes time. I find that getting a cohesive look between photo and video it helps to use similar systems for both (ie I use Fuji for both photo and video now). When I used canon for video and Fuji for photo, my videos definitely looked quite different.
@Daniel-ge6df7 күн бұрын
@@SamuelElkinsPhoto thanks for the tip mate! So you also use the Fuji simulations as a starting point when editing videos? Do you also have tips on how to define a Color palette for your art? Really struggling to get a cohesive look across multiple colors.

20k??? Wow... that is why you wait a bit before jumping on sth like this. With some crazy Fuji cashbacks I bought the GFX 100s and the 45-100 for less than 5k. I bought it because it was cheaper than buying a similar setup from any of the full frame manufacturers high MP cameras

Great video, Sam! Do you think you could make a video about how to make coherent photo sets, ie. how you edit collection of images so that they all look similar in terms of color, white balance, exposure, while still having local adjustments made to them? And obviously talking about your editing in general. Thanks!
