Forget about it, if it has a 4.6, or 5.4, if you can find a 4.2 they're tough for a six cylinder

Actually not bad considering how much a ram trx, raptor, raptor r, Shelby f150 off road, ram runner, are priced. This way you get you're truck whatever you may like with whatever engine stock or budget built or maybe a swap affordable one, interior little add ones pre runner upgrades can do slowly then slowly add on whatever you want and you'll have a kick ass more pre runner that'll either out perform a factory pre runner truck or come close for alot cheaper and have a build you'll actually use unless you're rich or in crazy debt buying a factory pre runner truck let alone modified then not just off-roading pre running it hitting jumps etc. I'd love to own a on road off road pre runner but I'd also love to own/built a Pre Runner Truck Built Like A Sand Rail Car That's Built With a windshield maybe stop tube chassis everything funny car cage no body no roof no doors just a cage engines suspension etc. Be able to be extremely light weight very sturdy durable fast and able to roll it flip it back over and drive away with just scratches to no damage to the vechile or yourself.

You're going to find pros and cons for any truck you buy but from what I have been hearing with the newer trucks. The older trucks are better. The new trucks are poorly put together, they have so many electrical issues, transmission problems. I think I remember Ford had recalls on the new trucks starting on fire. I think if you find a truck you like and it needs a few things, you should buy it, especially if it's a 2004. I've seen older trucks like a Chevy SUV 1984 with the classic box frame , which was a 4 speed manual for $8k and someone bought it a few months after I looked at it. Not all trucks that are decked out are always great. Sometimes getting the truck with the bare essentials can be a gem. Great truck!

The auto headlight Turn on / shutoff doesn't work anymore for me. Did that happen to anyone with this set?

My 2006 is still running strong. Im coming up on 450k miles. I change the oil every 3-5k miles & fix the silly shit as soon as it tears up & its kept me from walking... I haven't messed with the timing shit tho, biggest thing I've had to do so far was change the spark plugs & coil packs

I have been looking into these Fiberwerx fenders 🤩…. Vs Advanced Fiberglass…. Or rather the TT rear fender vs the “classic” flared rear fenders. 🤔 I like this look of the TT style more than the “pseudo-duelly” look for rear fenders. 😊

I like your truck. I have a 2006 I bought it new. About a month ago I got a crate motor installed, it’s currently at the body shop getting paint. When it gets back I’ll install seat cover replacement for the front seats, they are like the factory material and should match, we will see. My decision came down to pricing a new truck to replace my truck or rebuilding it bring it back to like new, one feature I like now is Apple car play, so switching out the radio gave me that, there is a rear camera that comes with the new radio, so I’ll install that when I get the truck back from the body shop. I’ll take some pictures and send you. I looked at your headlight and taillight switches and gave them some serious thought, but think I’ll go with simple stock headlight replacement, they are faded, and the tail lights still look good. New trucks are in the area of 60K, my truck summer 2024 rebuilds will end up being less than 20k, but I already own the 2006 F150 which new cost me $24k

Its the tentioner pulley making the noise ,..on my pickup ,..bought mine new 2005 ford f150 ,.....very lil maintaince ,replacing the starter is all i have had an issue with...and she is still going ..built ford tough ...YES !

So I’m not the smartest person in the world but I need you to hear this the clicking noise in your truck is a lifter leveler if it goes out your truck will be useless so replace it as quick as possible thanks

What are the tail lights? Also, did you find it easy to do the steering wheel controls for your aftermarket radio? How does that 10” stereo fit, now? Is there a trim kit behind the large screen so it’s not just a hole it comes out of?

I have a 2005 f150 super cab with the 4.6L, 413,xxx miles and the original transmission just went out. The engine was changed prior to me owning it, because the previous owner ran it low on oil. So glad I don't have a 5.4L

I have a F-150 2008 and have gone through many sets of spark coils .. so many that the truck is up for sale....the mechanics cannot fix it for more than 2 months and then the child start going bad....Im finished with this.

Funny stuff man make me laugh I recently bought a 2006 f150 5.4 l I love this truck too dude is there anything is the frame is dangerously rotted and I did not realize that when I got it I recommend getting a can of undercoating and constantly spraying it I saw the kits for the frameI can't believe they even make anything but same thing I love this truck I've had a lot of used trucks and this is hands down my favorite I paid $2,500 for it with 200,000 me immediately had to put power steering line and then transmission line and break that valve cause of rust okay cheap fixes for me Daddy engine has a compression low in one cylinder I can deal with it thank you

I have the same truck but mine is a FX4 with leather. the super cab short box is a great configuration and somewhat hard to find. I absolutely love my truck, if I ever have trouble with the engine I’ve been debating a Coyote conversion but a fresh 5.4 could be the way to go because it wouldn’t require mods.
