One tip to every phone. When your taking down a phone always disconnect the battery first to prevent any shorts when your disconnecting or connecting a screen. Ive done this before to my old iphone 6 and i basically killed it because i forgot to unplug the battery first.

Thanks! Tip: to get out the tiny pentalobe screws, I didn't use a special tool -- just the small blade on a regular-sized Swiss Army knife.

tried last week.. although did everything perfectly, the screen never went back the same.. those things are getting old sadly. still the quality is top notch compared to the devices from the time that ate already melted. apple devices show very little degradation ❤

I just replaced the battery for my old ipad 2 in March 2023 since there are some apps I still want that is not supported on later versions of ipad os. It is not necessary to dismantle everything as mentioned in this video actually. Anyway this video is beneficial to some extent still for a first timer like me.

Hi sir is it possible to extend the range of the wifi antenna through redesigning it?

You only said how to remove the headphone jack... you did not say how to fix it. How do I repair a bad or intermittent jack? If I have to replace it then where do I buy a replacement jack? Apple won't sell us jack shit.

Thank you for the video, which served as a deterrent to stop me attempting to open my iPhone 5. Should I do so, I know that an hour later, I'd have a pile of tiny little screws, some bits of metal and lots of titchy SMD components on my desk. Maybe just for a joke, someone might re-design an iPhone but make it out of regular, old-fashioned through-hole components. Granted, it wouldn't be as easy to carry around since it would be the size of a suitcase, but it would be user-serviceable. Apple wouldn't like that at all.

The shitful music makes this hard to listen to and the far too frequent omission of the definite article, 'the' is worse than robot speech. This is a great object lesson in how not to make an instructional video.
