Hey shouldn't I remove power cable from battery before removing the lcd and digitizer cables

I am about to buy home button and required kit from you. I don't have to take off the mother board, LCD, Digitizer, and proximity flex cables right? I mean, I can just open up glass front in a 90 degree angle and just open up the home button bracket WITHOUT detaching home flex off? I don't have adhesives to reattach and you guys don't either. PLEASE answer I need to fix asap. ifixit guys are slow to answer me.

@1:50: Our iPhone5 is different; you can not lift the screen so far; there's a cable from the home button to the motherboard.

TheNipommu I'm not sure because i haven't done this myself yet, but everything i've watched/read says not to open the cover to 90 degrees before you disconnect the flex cables…maybe because you might tear the ribbons..?
