Great gun. My broke behind opted for a MAC 9 DS, grip texture overlay, a crap ton of prodigy 26 round mags, an SRO replica, x300 clone and a lot of cheap ammo for not even the price of one of these. Still not a substitute, but I'd say my route was a good way to enter the 2011 platform.

Right now on GB they have a used gen2 but the slide is different it has in the small font loaded operator instead of the normal operator 45cal.

It quite literally doesn’t. It may remove some paint but that’s it. If yours is getting “chewed up” you’re doing something extremely wrong

@@JoeFromTheAfternoon Your beautiful and rare 10-8 rail has damage which will develop into witness marks if holstered and handled. If your intended use is service, all good. If the 10-8 is a collection topper, condition is everything.

@@encinobalboa I ended up selling this 10-8 to Hilton Yam himself. He has no problem with the current condition or “blemishes”. If he was desperate to get it considering he was waiting for 5 years for one to pop up,I’d say it’s perfectly fine despite any irregularities. It’s perfectly at home. It’s a collectors item regardless.

A Fusion 1911 is 100× better than a junk colt. The worst in the world of 1911s. The colt M45A1 that the military used in the last effort to revive the 1911 was the worst and sent the 1911 off as junk cracking frames chipping paint al other problems. Then when the military was trying to sue colt they failed for bankruptcy again HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

To each their own. My Rail Gun has been AMAZING! The comparison was for the CCU which is 2K to the TRP which is roughly the same price. Why would one NOT compare them?

The newer Colts may have some problems but the older series 70’s are well made and with modern upgrades and 8 round mags are very reliable.

I got the hrt railed model. It has never had a jam or issue. I have new colts, ww2 colts, stacatto p, and a colt custom race gun but my springfield has out preformed all of them

I don't understand why they closed the custom shop. They sold everyone they made they had years of waiting lists. It was definitely a money maker, so why would you close it?

Because they make WAY more money making cheaper guns and selling those. Why spend all the time making custom guns to make a 2K profit of a 3.5K gun when you can make that easier slapping together cheap plastic guns (like the Echelon)? The latter makes more sense.
