May she rest in peace. She didn’t deserve this horrible shit to happen to her. I went through it and I’m healed thankfully but it hurts knowing exactly how she feels in these videos of her symptoms. Poor sweetheart. ❤️‍🩹

This is exactly how I felt. I only took Ativan for 3 weeks and I had horrible withdrawals for about 3 months. It was the worst time ever but I’m glad it’s been over for a while now. My heart breaks for her. R.I.P beautiful girl.

So relatable. Now down to 2.5mg of Valium. Its a massive struggle. I just lost my life to it for now. It is the hardest thing i have ever had to experience in my life. I'm almost to 0mg.

This Tablet should come with a picture of Jeffrey Dahmer on it. It does absolutely nothing but get you into trouble. I wake up in strange places built a full hut up the mountains chimney and all called out what year is it to passer bys or where am I oh look there’s my car wrapped around a pole with 3 girls in the back I thought I killed them but they woke up and ran away laughing. Do not drink on these tablets.

I got off of xanax after being dependent for 15 years. I did a supervised fast taper in a rahab facility, but that didn't spare me all the effects. After 9 months, I'm still reeling from it all. I gained 15 lbs, my ears rings constantly, I'm dizzy & wobbly, my stomach hurts (like it doesn't remember how to digest food). Now it's high blood pressure. And terrible insomnis. I can't think and I feel like I've lost my mind forever. The daily fatigue is absolutely crushing. I can barely make myself take a shower. It's brutal. I cannot go to work anymore. I only took xanax as directed, and they told me I would need it the rest of my life. What a lie. They stole 15 years of my life. So far. I just want my life back.

unfortunately here is the USA patients best option is not even to mention a taper .... just keep getting the prescription and do it all yourself . there are so many horror stories out there with people being just cut off because it was a low dose the majority of doctor rapid taper in like 2 to 4 weeks . i totally agree with nicole hire a benzo coach and do not mention any type of taper to your doctor or psychiatrist or pa-c or np

In order to taper on our own we do need a prescriber. That can be hard to find. I have been fortunate but others in my area are just having to abruptly discontinue because prescribers are refusing to continue with the rx.

Everyone is different. I think your brain heals itself. Some people become hypochondriacs from reading this stuff .Not everyone has long term symptoms. I have gotten off way harder drugs than benzos.I don't feel brain damaged ???

They're not hypochondriacs; there’s no need to insult other patients just because you didn’t experience it and don’t understand it. Patients who haven’t experienced harm shouldn’t take credit for it-it’s pure luck.

After 30 years of Klonopin for a neurological disorder I decided to self wean 4 years ago. It was hell. Everything these people are saying is 100% accurate and then some. This was the worst experience ever. Just brutal. When I told my useless doctor how difficult it was after a month and what I was going through he said, "I don't know why you're having a hard time. It's been 4 weeks I wasn't even fully weaned off the benzos at that point. Please avoid benzos at any cost.

Klonopin for 12 years of my life was fine, for the last 4 has been hell ! I cannot believe a doctor can treat patients like this ! The only way I could ever feel better is to go back on the drug, won't happen or die ! I'm 68 After withdrawal

I have a quote for EVERY "healthcare provider" who CHOSE to ignore prescribing standards for benzos of only 2-4 weeks or less, used them "off label" for every imaginable NORMAL human malady, claimed ignorance and depended on drug reps for their patient's care, deceived, bullied, and abandoned their trusting patients, thus leaving them to unimaginable suffering and possible death:"...you KNEW there was a shark out there. You KNEW it was dangerous. But,you let people go swimming anyway?"-"Jaws" (Mrs. Kitner to Chief Brody after her son was killed by the shark).

What about the people who have been on the same dosage for 17 years after nothing other med helped after years of severe daily debilitating anxiety and panic attacks that were unpredictable, uncontrollable and caused absolute torment and suicidal and years of ssris or trycyclic or ssnis,

If they were on the same dosage for 17 years, they might already have developed significant tolerance. This discussion is about more than just your personal experience. The informed consent bill covers a range of issues that affect other patients.
