That has to be a very good memory. I wish I could’ve experienced that as a kid. The building is awesome. One of my favorite ones. Just the way it set up in the front back and then when the train goes right past those windows, it’s amazing to me, thank you for sharing your memories. I appreciate you. 🫵😎🫵⛈️

Aww, I love this little video. It's such a big building that just now sits empty. I hope someone buys it or rents it. It would be such a waste if no one does. Theres still so much potential here. I betcha this place was booming at one time. I watch your videos and they always make me want to drive back "home". I miss that area and everything about it. I feel like I haven't been there in forever even though it's only been a couple of months. Good luck to everyone hunting for those bracelets! Hello to Mrs. Storm. You did a great job!!

At times it's amazing how a small store or restaurant could grow into being a really big local landmark. Up until the early seventies there was a chain of quick.service sit down restaurants in Milwaukee call Dutchland Dairy. Decent fare at a reasonable price plus a large-scale Dairy Store. In under a year the whole place shut down but you can still tell the old stores as they have a golden spire where are the blades of the windmill would be attached to it and no they didn't have wind power energy. Plus we had a place like a 4Runner to Home Depot called Evans products where you could buy items in bulk for your house in a self-service setting. Almost ahead of its time the store actually did become a Home Depot. Whoever installed that fish must have the greatest rotor up there for it to keep turning so much

There’s some about those old businesses that just have a comfortable feel to them definitely. My wife said her dad used to take her there with her mom and it brought back a lot of good memories. Yes I definitely agree that whoever installed that fish up there definitely did quality work after all these years it still spinning. I thought it was very interesting. When the wife told me it was the store to go to before bass pro shop and Cabela’s. It’s a pretty good sized building. I wish I could’ve seen inside of it.

I remember stopping here a few years back while exploring. Forgotten gas stations are cool to photograph, when they're overgrown that is. You'll find so many in Florida and Georgia along the interstate. A few years ago I stopped to photograph a real old station near the FL line in southern Georgia, a cop was driving by and stopped, asked if i was OK. I told him to me, this was like expensive fine art. We both laughed but to many of us here, it really is.

I remember when we first started exploring the first couple years we would always get asked by the cops. What the hell we were doing going in those old buildings. Once we told them what was going on they said they are good with it just as long as they don’t have to go in there and rescue us from a roof falling through a floor. I agree with you. Gas stations are some of the coolest creepiest and yet somehow fun to do.
