Rewatching the video, you are completely right. I think I was too focused on my rerolls and did not see end game clearly enough, moreso to do with my lack of Buneary rolls. Foresight is key!

Usually this happens for Dragon. At Dragon 3, 2nd synergies of your mons is counted as 2. Example, if you have either Horsea, Gyrados, Palkia in the field, that counts as 6 water already. So by adding 6 more water mons, you will have more than 9 water in your field. If you need 6 Aquatic, getting Dratini and Goomy along with another random dragon gets you 4 Aquatic already. There is also this trick that if you hatch Axew and put any stone unto it, that will count as 2 coz Axew is a pure dragon type. Hope this helps.

AGREED. I will always slam Amulet Coin, especially early during the PvE rounds to get a little extra gold. I agree with you and Annihilape! I did the same thing recently and could not evolve him because I saw Mankey too late.

Thank you! Overall, I think it could have gone either way. Kirlia dealing 30 less than Xurkitree however Kirlia hits 1 more Pokemon and has 1 more range than Xurkitree.

@@ThatOnePokemonKid Does that factor in Xurcitree's auto attacks dealing special damage and scaling with ap? I'm not super good at the game so I can't really tell if it was worth it or if that's something you already considered.

Truth be told, I ended up getting an 8th before this lobby and lost a crazy amount of LP in a quick play lobby. I forgot to exit a game in before round 6 and paid the price by going to the movies. To make matters worse, I ended up getting a 5th right after to try and redeem myself haha I will gain the ELO back quickly and in the end it won't matter too much. The thought processes, positioning, item combinations, etc. are still from a Top 100 Player perspective.

Thanks for the feedback! I agree with your way of thinking. I think I was mostly auto piloting and thought I'd never see Bisharp since it took so long to find Pawniard. If I was fully locked in, I believe this would have mattered and gotten me top 1. I also keep forgetting that Dark doesn't jump if it auto engages into combat. Rookie mistakes!

@@ThatOnePokemonKid I forgot that mega sableye had rune protect so hatterene's silence wouldn't matter anyway lol I guess it's just positioning diff perhaps? Regardless of whether your in the top 100 or not, I think you still mirror the playstyle of a top 100 player. Keep up the videos king!

Yeah in hindsight I probably should have just full sent on Houndoom since the items were already on him, but like another comment was saying, I probably should have sold/waited to put them on Bisharp overall. Either way, both ways of playing probably would have mattered more than what I was doing lol

In the era of Dynamax Band and baby items, I think this truly matters a lot! Situational, but strong. Drapion is SICK and I cannot wait to try him soon. Wasn't he introduced in Gen 4 though?

Welcome to the game! I hope even with the struggles you're finding enjoyment in playing. My general philosophy for beginning a game is, "Whatever I evolve first, I slam items on". I wouldn't worry too much about who gets them for the first 10 rounds because you'll generally be selling them by that point depending on what your portal is and if you get the one you want. You'll see in most of my videos I tend to slam items as soon as I get the items in order to try and win streak faster/earlier. For tanks, I generally gravitate towards Poke Doll, Focus Band, Star Dust, Jade Orb, etc. with conditional items being Assault Vest (If the lobby has a lot of Fire/Poison), Cleanse Tag, Rocky Helmet (If the lobby has a lot of Dark/physical atk crit Pokemon), etc. For Ranged Attack Damage Carries, I generally gravitate towards Upgrade, Red Orb, Protective Pads/Punching Glove/Razor Fang depending on lobbies and Pokemon. For Ranged Special Attack Damage Carries, I generally gravitate towards Aqua Egg, Choice Specs, Upgrade sometimes, and situational items being stuff like Pokenomicon. However, rule of thumb? YOUR MAIN CARRY WILL ALWAYS NEED AMULET COIN!!! So ontop of Amulet Coin, always slot in 2 of these items with it. Money is just too good to give up.
