Rule correction at 3:27 you say if she wanted to should could just take this one wild. Actually she can't. You can only take 1 wild if there is only wild tiles left at the location. Rule correction at 5:24 you say you will lose 4 points for 4 tiles taken but actually the 1st player token itself does not count for the loss. Token is not a tile. Rule correction at 6:25 the first player to start in the second phase is the player who just acquired the first player token

You teaching the game wrongly. You shouldn’t count first player token as a negative point. For example: if you take 3 yellow tile with the first player token, you are going back -3 not -4. Unfortunately, you took the first player token as a tile too.

One big difference with Risk is how you get your recruitment and income at the end of your turn, rather than having to hope you maintain it until the start of your next turn. This gives you incentive to play more aggressively. Not that I think defensive play is particularly effective in Risk, but it's still a pretty big change.

Wish they were still making this game. I heard about 2 years ago they were going to bring it back with new Publisher. Still no word on that. (2023) Ebay is offering it but a heavy price.

One thing - what happens when someone accuses a monk but there are still cards that aren’t in any player’s hands? (You set aside 3 or 5 at the start.) or is no one allowed to accuse anyone until all cards are in the players’ hands except the killer?

At 16:48 ish your wife puts her fourth yellow out and gets wild tiles from the middle but I don’t think she got the four points. Which in the end would have made you tied (if there weren’t any other scoring issues but it seems someone else might have found one lol) but over all thanks! My cousin just introduced me to the first game of Azul and in looking up the game I saw all the different versions but this one didn’t make sense to me by the limited pictures on the outside of the box. Watching a whole game made so much sense to me! Thanks

i think the only reason people like this game is because of the original theme and artwork and miniatures. But i think the actual gameplay leaves a lot to be desired.

Why not show how it plays? I’m trying to figure out what this game about and you can’t even show an actual 30 seconds of play?

In the time it took for you to type out this complaint you could have typed “Klask Playthrough” and been watching how it plays. Not every video has to do all things. This is a review not a play through. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

I never came across this video when you first posted it, but I did now as I've been watching a lot of Mosaic review videos. One of my concerns is the static board. I know this sounds silly because it is a map of the area, but I just wonder about replayability when the map remains the same each game and if I played it a lot. As much as I like the genre of civ games, I don't play a lot of them because I usually don't enjoy them much the first couple of plays, so the map remaining the same has not had a chance to become an issue for me.
@boardgamecloset Жыл бұрын
I wish I could answer that for you but we only got to play three times. During those three it still felt great but I am not sure after a lot of play.

I absolutly love Hadrians Wall and Wingspan solo, and I really like Terraforming Mars: Ares Expedition. So your list makes we want to try out Arnak. I've been a bit on the fence about this one. I'm not sure if it might get a bit stale after a while. Since the box is so big and I don't have so much shelf space I have to believe I'll be playing it a lot to justify the purchase. You might wanna try out Paladines of the West Kingdom. It scratches a similar itch than Hadrians Wall. And of course Ark Nova. My new solo favorite.

I just got Ark Nova and have heard it’s a great solo experience! Excited to check it out.

For the record, the rules state: “THE START PLAYER TOKEN The player who has the start player token will be the first player to place their tiles on their board in Phase 2; and they will start the following round. This gives them the advantage of choosing tiles from the factory displays first, according to the normal rules.”

At 14:36 shouldn't you have lost only 3 points? Because the starting player token shouldn't be counted.

Somewhat ‘late to the party’ here with commenting from when you had originally published this video a few months ago, I know…not without its flaws, this is a Stonemaier Game that we do still like to play alot in our family! We currently own the retail version/edition, but I’m definitely looking to upgrade to the Collector’s version/edition components. …I’m a big fan of the books and super impressed by this game’s quality of card graphics/artwork (and, a lot/100+ of them, too)! In my opinion, the accuracy of the character depictions in the card graphics/artwork are on point and top notch; alot of attention to detail, for sure, and stayed true, I think, to the books (Fitchner’s bubble gum, etc). Thanks for the great video on this game! - Howie

I just started playing a game, that i think is best at Solo called “Imperium Classic”, You have to give this game a try, it’s a little challenging to learn, but, man, for me it’s the best Solo game i have ever played. The thing i like the best is it upgrades itself about halfway through the game, and the AI feels almost like a real player. I don’t think you will be disappointed, and i have a feeling it will be your 6th favorite solo game.

@@boardgamecloset another game I would suggest you look at is a game called “Backwoods” by Ryan Williams distributed by Most High Design. It has what the box calls an intense solo mode, I have played it twice, and love it.
