Great video! I just picked up a Quadrunner 250 4x4 and the battery is missing. The thick red and black wires are obvious as to where they go on the battery terminals. However, there are two wires with ends that I am not sure which battery terminal they go on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Do you close the plugs back off and then fill it with coolant??
@Schneids15
@Schneids15 Күн бұрын
No I simply give it a little slosh so I can see the coolant come out the plugs to verify no blockages. The system stays empty and dry. “Air doesn’t freeze”

Great video. Straight to the point....I think i have a problem though, water initially came out of the block plugs but antifreeze never did. And i put two jugs in it. Seemed to hold the majority, a little came outta the disconnected hoses. Am i screwed? 🤷

Sound’s like t case. Have you tried to move the shifter slightly either direction on 4x4 low? Sometimes the linkages are worn and the gear selector isn’t exact

I need your help. I follow u and ur videos are always helpful. But I am stuck on a suzuki king quad 300 4x4. It isn't getting spark. They told me to replace the stator which I haven't. But is it true with a bad stator the engine won't turn over with the electric start? It'll pull just fine but electric start won't work. True?
@Schneids15
@Schneids15 5 күн бұрын
Hi, this is not correct. The stator supply’s power to your voltage regulator which charges your battery. If your battery is charged it will turn over as usual.

Hey I have a dumb question. What is the difference in pouring the antifreeze into the hose directly into the T-Stat housing or just removing the T-Stat hose and pouring it in until it comes out of the T-Stat housing? I assume both processes will work?? On my 5.0L I can't remove the T-Stat hose because the bottom end has a factory pinch hose clamp a one time use clamp and would have to cut it off and yes I'm sure I would end up cutting the hose. I plan on winterizing it next weekend so opinions good or bad would help. And no I won't run the antifreeze through the outdrive from a 5 gallon bucket. Did that last year with 5 gallons and it over heated went from 130 to 220 in like5 minutes.
@Schneids15
@Schneids15 6 күн бұрын
On those ones I usually just take the upper hose off and you can shove the antifreeze right into the housing. You could pull it but that is a lot of work. Easier to pop the top hose and pour it in with a hose or something to get it in there.

Good video. I had a 2009 GSX 1200 limited short track (120) and had to do a lot of fixes over the 5 years I had mine (new flywheel/stator, Mainway Solution greasable bushings, pulled engine due to leaking o-ring on the oil tank, replaced cracked oil cooler, new valve cover gasket due to leaking, upgraded rear torsion spring, Elka shocks front and back, replaced TRA with PB80, replaced water pump gear due to 2009 issue with the 1200, among other things!). Great sled, just need to be handy to do work yourself or these sleds will cost you a fortune to maintain.
@Schneids15
@Schneids15 5 күн бұрын
Hey thank’s for the comment. Yes I agree. I loved the sled and only in a short track. My dad had a long track and it handled horrible and we could never dial it in. However yes a lot of “little” fixes like an O ring that are a horrible 12 hour job later. I had a love hate relationship with my 1200 that is for sure.

Do you have any videos on how to change the lower and upper chaincase bearings on a 1200? I need to do mine(swapping track and they’re original)was wondering if I should pay the $500 cad at the brp dealer for the upper and lower tools or there is another way without damaging anything.

Hey mate, Ivery much enjoy your footage on the Suzuki king quad 300 very helpful. Having trouble with revving either in gear or stationery. Changed out Pet Cock but didn't make a difference. Restored Quad Bike, new fuels / oils throughout, new boots front and back. New brakes front and back, fresh paint and remodeling racks with a little welding in the mix. ant thoughts as to what to look for next. regards Adrian Australia

Great video. This era F150 was reliable, u see a ton with 300k miles still running perfect. That said I just bought a '14 with 43k miles on it. Switched from a newer truck cuz Im sick of auto start/stop, turbos, AFM/MDS, eyesight, etc. Even got the little NA 3.7 and dont miss the crazy torque of turbos. I was looking at these as preventive protection, but I might just do the rust encapsulating rubberized paint inside/underneath rockers instead cuz mine has zero rust yet and want to keep it awhile

Why not just use a funnel when filling up AF thru the top thermostat intake? Then no need to remove the entire hose and block the lower hole with hand (as one commenter did). The most elegant way however to fill an engine with AZ should be using the direct hose intake (that exists on most Volvo Pentas) and run the engine with AZ as coolant. No hoses to unscrew, you are sure entire system is filled up. As an extra bonus you can fog the engine on this last AF run and kill the engine that way. All squared away, imo.

So I have the same issue with the bottom drain oil plug entry point as well. Where you refill the lower unit with oil from. What do I do then? I ordered a new oil drain plug, thinking that would fix my problem, something tells me it’s the threads on the unit itself. Not just the screw being stripped.

I recently acquired a 97 king quad. Your videos have helped me out a lot. It has a hard to time starting. Have to feather the throttle for awhile to get it idle but once it does it runs like a dream. The hotter it gets the harder it is to start. I have cleaned the carb which did not need it. Any idea why this could be?

I have the top vent ticking noise down by that same actuator. If you do top&bottom the noise goes away. I also think recirculate doesnt work since i can immediately smell outside at the car wash or on the freeway. My guess is i might have 2 broken but we will see! Tag me if i forget to update my results over the next month or so
