I’ve watched this video so many times over the years and it’s probably one of my favorites of the old school videos ❤

Almost 12 years ago, and still I think of this spin and aspire to be this fluid and graceful in my own spin.

Anyone found the link to Mikel Ayala's performance that is mentioned in this video? I am not finding it in searches but it looks amazing.

Unfortunately there is no full public video of his work online. He prefers to keep it that way.

Hey Marvin! I appreciate this video. Your take on learning Seb's mess is different from what others have showed me (training lofty wheel plane no beat tosses, two of the three clubs in the pattern, etc). I hadn't even thought of windmills as a prerequisite. Makes sense though, because when I learned mills mess with balls, windmills helped a lot. I can't yet do windmills with clubs, so I'm gonna focus on that for a while and see if it helps my Seb's mess come together. Thanks!

Really great tutorial man. I’m working on other stuff at the moment but your lighting and video work was nice enough that it was really satisfying to watch anyway.

I dig and the tutorial! I've been spinning poi for a while and have become interested in glowstringing (partly because they fit in your pocket, lol). Anywho, I appreciate you pointing out some of the differences in style and approach between the glowstringing and poi as they are different while still having a lot of overlap.

Noel brought in official workshops when the event moved from RWB Beach to Cutter Scouts in the fall of 2006 (the only year there were 2 FDs in 1 year, which happened because the spring FD was rained out and Skye wanted to make it up to everyone).
