For the people that want to know: Wafer paper will be used in regions where being thin is a primary concern. Gum-paste/flower-paste will be popular in regions with less nutritional education in the lay population. None of them are used in regions with high nutritional education in the lay population and economic downturns.

What is the thickness of the wafer paper?

Hi! I’m using 0.22mm usually but for beginners I will recommend 0.27-0.3mm to start since wafer paper is really sensitive to liquid. If you join the free class here: page.winifredkristecake.com/cosmos-free-class, there is a workbook PDF inside that shares more in detail 😊

You are as a person and as a creator truly amazing ❤ your work inspired me to start and create sugar and wafer paper flowers as I’ve bought all the supplies and books more than a year ago but never even started to do them. Your flowers are absolutely beautiful, perfect and look so real .
