Do you have any information on scripting or automating this? Everyone else I've seen either doesn't do compositing and only does animation as-is out of the render, or doesn't talk about breaking out the render layers and doing all of the collections separation. I'd love to use blender for more things but the incredibly manual process is pretty offputting. Easy if you have one thing, horribly annoyingly manual if you have even 4 objects

This video is awesome!!! I will like to adress a small issue just in case. I found this problem with my cg and workflow and is that you have to convert the interpretation of the cg footage to 32 bit if you are working with EXR because if no the color appear compresed

Too much redundant movements. And still at the end you applied color correction so your scene referred workflow does not provided physically correct result. I think in most cases Nishita sky is enough, or just free hdri with similar lighting conditions.

Hi InLightVFX, great tut! A question: do we make the operations made in Nuke (starting at 3:35) in another compositing software, like Natron, Fusion or at least in After Effects? thanks for a reply!
@InLightVFXАй бұрын
Hi there, you can certainly do those operations in a different software other than Nuke. The most important thing is to make sure you have the proper color spaces set for the working color space and the input color space (of the footage and hdri). Good luck!

Is there a way to continue using Blender's linear color space internally, only using ACES for import and export? I've got a bunch of assets and I don't want to change all of the texture nodes.
@InLightVFXАй бұрын
The input/output functionality built into ACES mainly serves the purpose to convert into (and out of) the working color space, which would be some sort of ACES color space like ACEScg. So in short, no, I don't think what you're describing would make sense.
@IgriumАй бұрын
@@InLightVFX I guess what I'm saying is can I keep using Blender's native working color space, and only use Aces for the EXR import/export & compatibility with Resolve?
