I was about to quip "You're not making a CG hole in a real wall, you're adding a CG wall with a hole in it to your footage. :P" Then you mentioned the room behind it was also CG... 😳 Will definitely watch the longer version, now that I got a gist of what I can learn and I know the end result looks amazing. @@the-real-sachin Aye. Sadly it won't work. Ian's tutorials work because his solutions are very quick, rely heavily on lazy shortcuts and are very effective in terms of their effort:outcome ratio. This tutorial right here is literally all about NOT taking shortcuts, so the 'fast' version is no help whatsoever (one part literally says 'composite like a pro' or something - no description at all). Ian's tutorials work because he can literally explain the entire process in under one minute AND YOU CAN UNDERSTAND AND FOLLOW IT. This was an attempt to overview a detailed process without actually explaining anything. If you ask me, cynically speaking, it's a shallow attempt to copy Ian's successful format and I am not convinced. The full tutorial is very good, don't get me wrong, and I learned from it, but this isn't gonna fly.

I don't think he wanted to copy Ian. It's probably just to give an overview and made for the people that can "composite like a pro".
