It's the only mode that the vast majority of NHL gamers care about. Unlike online modes packed full of microtransactions, people play franchise mode long past the games first 6 months.

Playing online is just asking game after game of glitch goals and exploits and dropped games due to rage quits. Give me bots any day of the week. People don't play online modes after 6 months. They're dead. Franchise mode lasts years.

@@Borodin410 dead after 6 months because franchise mode is an absolute train wreck and has never worked properly. Can't have a sustained game mode if the mode itself is inherently broken, which offline franchise mode has been for more than a decade. The problem lies in upper management who refuse to dedicate resources to the mode because it doesn't make money beyond purchase of the game. All they care about is their wallets. They don't give two shits about the players. Want real change? Stop giving EA money.

Oh gosh the player menus that jump you back to the top every time you move a player, or edit a player, rather than leaving you at the spot you were at. So annoying when you do roster editing.
