Just started DC'ing myself, just me and my staffy. I pull my 14' enclosed trailer w a lifted 4x4. It's now 4 years after you uploaded this and wanted to ask if you and your good looking family still do this. So far this winter (started this adventure in Sept) Ive had decent success in free camping north of the AZ Snowbowl along hwy 180 off those federal forest roads. But snow has started so Ive headed south and am now way down S near the Superstitions. It's a challenge finding ideal spots that give you decent cell coverage which is really my only MUST HAVE at this point. All others issues I make do and plan ahead - connectivity is really the only great unknown till you get on site. However Ive recently also noticed I may need to think about SAFETY as well. Questions - 1. do/did you use anything like an app or site that helps you plan ahead for phone/data use at your planned destination? 2. What are/were your thoughts or concerns if any as relates to SAFETY while out in the boondocks? Over the last 4 years we have opened our societal doors to all sorts of (in the millions) unsavory characters and based purely on what Ive experienced out here, I have upped my protective measures a bit. You have/had a beautiful wife/GF to look out for as well - what were your experiences in the safety security realm during your disbursed camping trips?

I totally agree about the lack of a dipstick. Lr3 HSE was a better vehicle in my opinion. Your prices are a stark reminder of the inflation we've seen.

there is a simpler way which i have tested, two pieces of unistrut, one mounted to wall, the other screwed to back of tv, the natural little hooks on the unistrut lock together. so cheap, bomb proof, no time

immediately after I changed my PCV on my 06 Super Charge, it smoked and continues smoke. I saw tour video. You said you replaced the PCV and it still smoked. But you removed the oil from the intake and then what did you do?

Ive got a 2010 LR4 with the 5.0 V8 that smokes white a lot on hard acceleration, it doesnt overheat, doesnt loose coolant, did the test and didnt turn yellow and the reservoir doesnt bubble when running...what is this white smoke?? Please, I would really appreciate it if you could let me know your thoughts, thanks!!

This video is like 2-3x longer than all the other videos, but he skips how to connect the hose to the evacuation pump. And the evacuation pump has horrible instructions with typos. So much could be cut from this video, but not how to use the evacuation pump!!

Weirdly - the oil filter on the petrol model (that you have here) is different to the Diesel model. It doesn’t use that oil wrench, rather it uses a 32mm socket nut

Hello. when i change gear from R to D, sometimes it jerks when driving fast. changing from R to D takes about 1.5 seconds. Is it normal? if i wait 1-2 seconds it is perfect. do these cars have it? that you have to wait a while from back R to D? Thanks

A little trick we use on our big trucks to keep it neat is to take an ice pick or old Phillips head screwdriver and hammer and poke a hole in the bottom of the oil filter.

Access hole to filter too small. Always a mess everytime. I replace filter every 2 oil change. I use 20k oil filter. 07 is now 275k odo. Great v6 engine.

Hi, thanx for the video. I have white smoke coming out of my jaguar xkr. 4.2 supercharged. I changed my pcv and still get huge plums of smoke on startup and when it heats up. After you vacummed the oil how long did it smoke after that?

When I changed the starter on our 2010 Nissan Armada, I discovered the same thing inside of the intake manifold...a crusty film of carbon buildup on the inside and we've been having the same issue with it smoking upon start-up as well.

I've got an '08 LR3 HSE with 300,050 miles. Absolutely no problems and still runs beautifully! She's never let us down. Bought it with 90k 8 years ago....full synthetic oil at 5k intervals. Seems to have done the trick. See posts all the time by LR owners freaking out bc their vehicle just hit 100k...and here we are with 300,000 miles and still going strong. Extremely reliable vehicle!!!

I replaced battery put in 3 gallons supreme gas and injector cleaner starting fluid its alive it started up wow I turn off also found no oil in engine some nut put water radiator so I had do a complete fluid change transmission slips is i do a transmission flush if wrong transmission fluid and filter has not been changed can cause this problem , all function works and small fridge in console, I put in a can for v8 restore lubricant in oil to clean oil system designed for vehicle over 100,000 miles no accidents, clean title so I think I got a better deal than you boss
